“STILL the Best Family Hotel near Disney”

Islander Inn and Suites

5 of 5 stars
Woodbridge NJ
Jul 9, 2008

Stayed here last year and wrote a review, and folks, nothing has changed! This hotel is still the best bargain within 2 blocks of the Disneyland entrance for families or couples. Pool was still clean, Staff was VERY helpful, Room was exceptional as always, had same room as last year (210) and was always clean. Only complaint was that each day , housekeeping would turn off air conditioning and open the blinds which made coming back from park on a 106 degree day a bit much, but once you cranked up the AC , all was well. When you check in, also check the refrigerator, as it may not be plugged in ( Guess the hotel REALLY wants to save on electricity!) All in all another sucessfull stay at a well run privately owed hotel.
I had previously raved about the CoCo's Bakery restraunt down the street but the quality of their service and food has really slipped, try something else there are 100's of better restraunts in the area.

“Great place to stay”

Islander Inn and Suites

4 of 5 stars

Lately I have been using Trip Advisor to see what others think about hotels before I book them. I did this before booking at the Anaheim Islander Inn and Suites and thought I would do the same for others. This was a great place to stay. From the outside, it looks like a quaint little place, but they have everything you could want. Many smaller hotels have a regular key lock, but this one does have the card lock. It had a mini frig and microwave which came in quite handy. Continental breakfast was ok, danish and apples, coffee and orange juice...enough to get you going in the morning. Free internet connection was a huge plus for me as I was attending a conference at the Anaheim Convention Center, which was a 5-10 minute walk, another plus. I also walked to Downtown Disney, but the walk back was a bit rough after the festivities. :-) The staff at the hotel were very accommodating. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend it.

“Great family motel”

Islander Inn and Suites

We loved our stay. About a 15-20 minute walk to the entrance to Disneyland. The pool was clean and heated to a perfect swimming temperature. Our 2-room suite was large, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'll stay here again on our next visit.

“Loved it !”

I wasn't expecting too much because the rate was below than the average in Anaheim. However I was totally surprised. everyhting there feels fresh. The room was clean. I had 2 double beds for 4 of us in the family. The bathroom was clean..sparkling. We had a 29" tv, a small refrigerator (not a minibar..but a real fridge), coffee machine, iron and board and plenty of towels. They even have 2 extra pillows and a blanket already in the room. And everything is inclusive. NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. We loved the stay and will certainly stay there again. 4th night we had to move out since the rooms were taken and we didn't have reservations to extend the night there. Moved to Super 8 motel across the road. The hotel is terrible. The appearance was not inviting. Needs a refresher..or an overhaul. Even charges more than Islander. No fridge, no iron and board. Not worth it. Take my advice..go to Islander Inn. Its worth the money.

“Great For Us”

Islander Inn and Suites

Jul 1, 2008

This was a great hotel for us. We needed somewhere that had separate rooms, a bathroom, a fridge, microwave and a pool. The only complaint we had was the floor was quite dirty. What do you expect in a hotel room. We took ART to Disneyland because we knew we would be walking all day. The ART stop was right outside the hotel. There were plenty of good resturants within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. HAving just come from the Pointe Hilton in Phoenix, we were a bit nervous but as I said this hotel was exactly what we needed.

Once again great stay and thank you to the staff at the Islander.
