We stayed at the Doubletree for three nights in June while visiting Disneyland. The location is good, but too far for my 4 year old to walk to the parks. We took the ART buses everyday and never waited more than 10 minutes to board.
The room was wonderful as it had a separate living and bathroom area away from the bedroom. The room was very clean and the maidservice was very good. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy and the two televisions were great for a family who doesn't always agree on what to watch.
We did not realize but it was "Grad Night" at Disneyland meaning they closed the parks early for regular folks and were open to seniors all night long. This was OK except we had several rooms around us full of rowdy, loud, obnoxious teenagers. I had to call security as my children kept waking up by all the loud noises in the hallway. Security did come up, but as soon as he left the ruckus continued. Doubletree waived our parking fees ($11.00 a day) for the inconvenience which was very nice of them and smoothed over my ruffled feathers. If you stay there during early June of any year ask to be far away from the "grads" staying at the hotel.
The coffee bar downstairs was very convenient in the mornings for our java jolt and my kids loved the 2nd floor pool area especially after a long day at the parks.
I would definitely stay at the Doubletree again when we are in the area.
