We spent the last 2 nights of a 3 week tour of California (& Las Vegas) here and it was pleasant/relaxing. Although very convenient for Disney & Knott's Berry Farm we only went to Downtown Disney both evenings for some entertainment and food (good choice there). We visited the Crystal Cathedral complex (it is in fact several buildings - more like a religious convention centre) and we enjoyed that. Breakfast at the hotel was good and we also went to the Denny's across the road (much cheaper but also good). The room (suite) was a nice size & had 2 TVs, fridge, several chairs, a desk, and 2 big comfortable beds with quality furnishings. Again, as with other hotels (especially newer ones eg Omni San Diego & Clement Monterey) there aren't enough places to hang wet/damp towels. Open drawers/shelves are okay when towels are rolled up/dry (ie awaiting use) but not otherwise. Pool is not big nor is patio area but most people are elsewhere during the day and it wasn't a problem while we were there. Staff are friendly, a cookie to greet you with at check in was a nice surprise and it is also good to have the use of a PC in the business centre - this hotel provides 3 whereas most only have 1 or 2 - and no silly charges for usage either - well done!!

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights as a quick stop. I have to say, the beds were great! The linen was clean, the pillows were fluffy and the rooms were made up every day. The rooms were spotless and the bathroom had fresh towels (and plenty of them) changed daily.

Check in was hassle free, and were given the famous doubletree cookies. A nice treat on arrival.

The room walls were a bit papery thin, though we were lucky we had no noisy couples or children around us, but I have a feeling that may be a problem for some - being the disney area.

I wouldn't recommend eating at the hotel, we had breakfast once, and I nearly threw up. Everything was dripping in oil. The fruit was brown - and minimal selection. Buffet was mostly bacon, sausages, more bacon and bacon! It looked like it had been sitting around for a while too.

One other complaint was that the hotel had a sickly sweet smell about it. It didn't filter in to the rooms because of the air con, but it was throughout the lobby and lift area. It really made me feel sick - fresh air is needed!! The reason this started to bother me is because the free wifi access is in the lobby (but at least internet is provided!).

Service was lovely, everyone willing to help and with a smile. They organised limo services for us to get around town etc quickly and efficiently.

Would stay there again if I needed to be in the anaheim area.

I read the positive reviews and found them to be true. Great family hotel, 20 minute walk to Disney (bus available). The rooms were large (two sections), the beds great, pool refreshing, and staff friendly. Kids eat free in the hotel restaurant. We thought we were being economical by eating at an IHOP one morning. Well, the hotel food was far superior, and about half the price for a nutritious, huge selection breakfast. Only negative point in whole stay was $11 daily parking. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites from the 19th-24th of June. I have to say that I have never seen a better, well trained staff...and really NICE! Every staff member (including the wait staff at Agio) with was NICE!!! Extremely helpful, happy crew.

The cookies were a great treat and set the mood for the stay. We were able to check in early, and the free internet (and printing capabilities) was a great convenience.

The shuttle was a great way to get to Disney, but waiting for it got a little old after the first couple of days, and next time I probably will try to save to stay onsite for the convenience.

The room at the Doubletree fit our family of 5 just great and was great to have a little extra space.

The pool...way too small for the size of the hotel. Happy travels!
