“A Nice Hotel”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two days and nights. Our room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. It was also pretty quiet, which we really appreciated. We were disappointed about the lunch options on Sunday (very expensive brunch, or too-crowded and slow bar/cafe) but there were plenty of restaurants in close walking distance, so that wasn't a problem for us. Staff members were all friendly. We would stay here again.

“Not worth the price!”

This was our first trip to a disney hotel. For the price ($300+), we expected a lot more (eg. continental breakfast, champagne toast, decent coffee). We got a basic stay at a hotel. Lobby service was very slow and they seldom answered their phone. The room was clean, but nothing spectacular. Morning coffee was less than adequate. Be prepared to do lots of walking just to get to the parks. Save money and book at a nearby good neighbor hotel.

Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel

My husand, two children and I looooved the Paradise Pier. First we arrived at about 2am in a motorhome. We were happily given a parking pass and when we preregistered at 8am that morning our room was already ready! I couldn't believe it, it worked out perfect. The front desk was very nice as well as the lifegaurds at the pool and the housekkepers.

The room itself was great. There was an armoire in the room that was high enough to keep everything out of kids reach and a play pen in the closet, the room was definently kid friendly. The water pressure was great(we showered at night) and the bathroom was bigger than most. Although noone else noticed, I did see some dried goo on the bottom of the curtains and one of the chairs had some gunk on it but it still felt cleaner then most hotels I have stayed in.

The kids(2,5) loved the pool. The water slide was great! My 5 year old went down it no problem. They also have a kiddie1 ft. pool and life jackets available.

So far this has been my favorite hotel stay and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we go down to Disneyland again.

“Fine Experience...Is it worth the price?”

We booked the senior rate, and paid $200 for room, parking, taxes, etc.

Check-in was fine, but the room wasn't available at 9 am when we arrived, but was availabe when I checked back at 230pm. They gave my kids balloons and birthday buttons for their birthday's and everyone at Disneyland would say hello. My dad said when he walked by at 3pm, true check in time, the lobby was packed.

We had a pool side room (odd numbers I believe) so we didn't have a view of the park/fireworks. That was fine for us. The room was a very standard hotel room in fair condition...nothing terrified me...nothing impressed me. The beds were really firm (but not in that high quality way) yet we were so tired, it really didn't matter. I think they have it set up pretty well for families with a futon and an empty mini-fridge.

We swam in the pool which isn't that big but it has a waterslide my kids loved.

We walked to and from the park throwing the kids in the stroller and cutting through the Grand Californian each time. It was nice not to have to fold the stroller and get on the tram to the parking garage, which is what you do when you drive to Disneyland.

Anyways, my big question is would I come back? It is basically a mediocre hotel room with a pretty big price tag, and you have to consider if the perks of a mildly increased Disney experience and a walkable location are worth the cost.

I doubt I will come back. We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza (see my review) which was a much nicer hotel room at a fraction of the cost (Priceline). However, coming and going took a bit more time. We did go back and swim mid-day there as well and took their shuttle, so that's an option if you stay further away.

For me the few perks didn't outweigh the cost and the quality of room. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, I just don't think I want to do it again.

“A moderate Disney hotel”

Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel

Having taken many Disney Vacations - this was our first on Disneyland property (have stayed on Disney world). Was not overly impressed, but as usual customer service was very good. Two issues that were bothersome - the slow elevators and the lack of a laundry room/machines.

This hotel seems on the par with other moderate Disney resorts.

There is more convenience and amenities when staying at the higher end resorts, but that's why you pay more to stay at them.

Rooms were clean/fresh and pool was well kept - not much else to ask for since you are there for the parks.
