Review: Safety: Hotel is in safe section of town. Hotel provides security guards for parking lot and hotel. Rooms have excellent locks and door guards.
Check In: Almost time free. They insist you put a $50 deposit on a credit card while you stay. I said (oh no, here come the fees), but there were none added.
Rooms: No assist with luggage. Have some luggage carts, and there are three elevators to rooms. Some rooms a bit of a walk from elevator. Open with card key. Hotel has nine floors and Two towers with front and back rooms. Rooms beginning with (floor number)29 and up are best to see fireworks. Rooms were fairly large, even with two beds. Television worked okay, but there was some satellite interence. Had good selection of channels for all ages, and stuff you could purchase to watch.
Beds had lots of pillows and were very comfortable. Beds have sheet, then top sheet under blanket, then sheet on blanket. No top quilt. Room has desk with chair and couch that folds into a bed. My son liked the couch bed. Colors in room are mostly white and beiges, carpet was green. All rooms ending in 29 are handicapped equipped rooms and larger than normal. Good information is provided about the hotel in the room. Telephone and alarm clock worked fine. Bathroom has a little small. Contains toilet and bathtub with shower. Worked fine and was clean. Sink outside bathroom. Room also had coffee maker, refrigerator, iron and hair dryer. Also has free internet, worked well although a little slow to come up. Room includes free daily USA today (but you have to pick it up in the lobby). Room was very quiet also. Could not here people above or below. Could here shower running while in bathroom (not my own) and some doors slamming. Also fireworks go off loudly at about 9:30 except on Thursday (at 8:30). They are incredibly loud inside the room, so you will not be sleeping until 9:30. Could be better in Disney offseason.
Location: Within 10 minutes walking to Disneyland entrance. Also near restaurants...Millies, McDonalds, Cold Cream Ice Cream, Tony Romas and others.
Parking: with 400+ rooms, there are not enough parking places, so park early in the day. I think they thought people would come on shuttles from the airport or something. And there is a big emply parking lot in back of the hotel that is not used. OPEN OPEN OPEN!
Other: In the hotel there is a wonderful pool and hot tub, and a very nice snack bar on the third floor where you can buy pizza, sandwiches, breakfast and healthy snacks at reasonable prices. There is also a microwave here. Same area also has a game room with video games of different types, including pin ball that play for reasonable prices. My kids loved going up to play and order their own snacks and meals. There is a desk in the lobby which will arrange travel and trips for you. Someone is at the lobby 24/7.
