The Fairfield Inn was a nice place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Pool. There are several places to feed the family in the area such as McD's, Millie's, Mimi's, and of course Pizza Hut. The Fruit Cup's were really good, but a little pricey. We ordered a couple of kid shows, and when one didn't come across the T.V. I called the front desk and they took all the movie charges off my acount. That was nice. I requested extra towels and pillows and it was no problem. The only complaint is one day while taking a nap. A person opened my room door with a key card and said he was given the room. I called the desk and they acted like it was no big deal, I later went down to complain and it was still not a big issue to them. That was a little concerning. All in all I would probally stay again.

“Nice and close to the Park”

We booked an Alaska Airline Package and where very pleased with our choice of the Fairfield Inn. There were a few cheaper places to stay but further away from the park.

The hotel is a very short walk to the park, my 4 year old son had no problem with the walk, except of course if he fell asleep at night before we left the park.

The rooms were just the right size, the pull out bed was just right for my son but couldn't picture an adult or teenager sleeping in it. The only issue I had with the room, as a previous posting mentioned was the shower head. I'm only 5"10 and I had trouble with it as it is placed quite low.

Was great that the hotel provided water jugs near the elevator for a quick drink after walking back from the park.

The pool and hot tub are a little on the small side but nice and refreshing after a hot day.

The pizza hut was convenient in the hotel but we found the Millies Restaurant in the parking lot of the hotel to be really great.

The only problem I had at the hotel was during check in, we arrived at 2:30pm and were told our room wasn't ready but they would have someone tend to it right away. We went for lunch, came back and were told still not ready, then we were asked to wait in the lobby, finally at 4pm I went back to the counter and was told it had been ready for an hour, she apologized to us but it was tough sitting in the lobby when our room was sitting waiting for us.

Things happen and this wouldn't stop us from visiting the Fairfield again.

“Great location, nice view of the fireworks”

Traveling with 2 kids to Disneyland, I had 1 major goal - hotel should be walking distance from the pedestrian entrance to the park - this hotel fits the bill. It takes about 12 mins to walk to the room from main street. We had a room on the side where we could see park fireworks which was lot of fun. The in-house Pizza hut was wonderful for lunch (not crowded at all).

“A Great Choice”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

My wife and I stayed at the Fairfield May 6-13 of this year. I had a really hard time choosing a hotel for our stay after seeing how many choices I had and reading reviews of various hotels that said theirs was the best and closest to Disneyland. It turns out we made a great choice.

The Fairfield seemed less "motel-ish" than the others around it, with half of the rooms facing Disney, while the other half looked towards the highway. Most of the hotels close by looked directly into the sides of buildings or parking lots. While we had a view of Disney property, we couldn't see that much - Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and the tops of the Disneyland and Paradise Pier hotels. Disney does a nice job of concealing the park from view. Unless you are lucky like us and get this view as a free upgrade, I'm not sure it is worth the extra cost to get the view of Disney.

The rooms have been upgraded since the last posting of pictures. The blue decorating and Disney picutres are gone, but the new decorating isn't bad. There is plenty of room to store luggage and toiletries. Our only complaint about the room has to do with the shower head. It was placed too low in the shower! I think it is about 5 ft up from the floor. We had to have the water shoot out horizontally in order to take showers. Beware if you are really tall! However, this wasn't that big of a concern, and wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

All in all, we would stay here again. It was well furnished, close enough to walk to Disneyland (It was only one long block to the entrace of the walkway. I think only 3-5 hotels are closer to the park), and once again was the least "motel-ish" of the hotels we saw. There would be one stipulation, however. We would go back if we got a good deal from a place like Expedia, like we did this time. The other motels look fine, usually have free breakfast, and have cheaper regular rates than the Fairfield. The deal we got made the Fairfield the cheapest hotel in the area; however, without the deal the other motels were cheaper.

“Conveniently located accommodations”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

4 of 5 stars
Las Vegas

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn Anaheim over the holiday weekend. The property is an easy ten minute walk to the main entrance of Disneyland. The convenient location (to both the theme parks and Anaheim Gardenwalk restaurants) and the resort view were the primary reasons I selected this property. I reserved a resort view room and checked into a dual queen unit on the ninth floor (highest floor available). From my room, the fireworks on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were easily visible and well worth the expense for my young children to see the display without having to brave the crowds and late night at the park. I should mention that the noise of the pyrotechnics is very loud (even in the room) and may startle younger children. I didn’t have too much of an issue with folks from the other side of the building (less expensive freeway facing units) walking over and blocking the view out of my window when viewing the show. They were there, but had the decency to stay out of my sightlines. As I was farthest from the elevator, I did not have to deal with issues relating to folks passing by on the way to other rooms. Be aware, though, that this is an all exterior corridor access property. Parking was personally not a problem, since we walked to the park, but on Saturday night, security was having guests park along the driveway in the fire lane as the property was completely booked. The room itself was an oversized motel room. Certainly not new, but nothing I would consider rundown. Even with the two queens, the single pullout sleeper, and furniture, there was room for our crib, dual stroller and luggage without tripping over one another. I found the bathroom on the small side. Wireless internet connection worked well. Electrical outlets, however, were not conveniently placed. Towels were thin and less than satisfactory; toiletries, T.P. and tissue were cheap commercial grade products. Beds were standard Marriott fare, comfortable and no complaints. The in room fridge came in handy, and there were also vending, ice, and laundry facilities on each floor. There was a microwave available for guest use on the third floor, near the coffee, snack, and pizza shops. Housekeeping was effective. Elevator wait times were near non-existent. I did not notice much noise from the neighboring room though noise from car alarms going off could be heard. Check in/out were a breeze, and they had plenty of luggage carts available for guest use. As the weather was damp and cold, we did not experience the small pool area. I similarly avoided the onsite restaurant, as there are some great eateries at the new Anaheim Gardenwalk complex about a block (or two, depending where you’re from) away on Katella and Clementine. Dining choices include the Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump, California Pizza Kitchen, McCormick & Schmicks, and Roy’s. It’s only a five minute drive (the parking garage is off of Katella). I would likely return to this conveniently located property.
