“Delightful little hotel”

Maltanski Hotel

This lovely little hotel, which only has 16 rooms, is a delight after a busy day in the hustle and bustle of the town centre, yet it is only 8 minutes walk to the main square. It is tucked away next door to the huge Radisson hotel directly across the road from the Planty, which is a park that goes around the outside of the old town.
The bedrooms are very nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and the bathrooms are finished to an excellent standard. Breakfast is a very nice buffet of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and juices. There is no extensive lobby or a bar, but their is a very intriguing bar across the car park which you must go in as it is really obscure inside.
We had a wonderful time in Krakow, we also went to Auschwitz and the salt mines, arranged by the hotel, which are well worth a visit.
(The only downside to the hotel is their is no air conditioning and the car park is busy ,even at night, so with the windows open you can hear a bit of noise. It was very hot whilst we were there but the reception gave us a fan to use which allowed us to shut the windows at night.)

“Decent hotel.....excellent tour guide”

This hotel is in a great location. We thought the room was decent and clean and enjoyed the breakfasts. The only thing that kept me from rating this hotel as an excellent was the front desk hotel clerk. He wasn't bad...but not really welcoming or warm. Even so, I would stay at the hotel again. The best part about this hotel is the person they refered us to for a driver/tour guide. Andrew was welcoming, friendly, went above and beyond to show us the sights and answer all questions. He is very knowledgeable about everything and tailored our tours to our interests. I can't say enough about him. Even if you decide not to stay at this hotel I highly recommend you use Andrew as a tour guide. You will have a great trip.

“Well situated, stylish hotel”

Maltanski Hotel

10/10 found this review helpful

We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is well situated for the old town, the Castle and the Jewish Quarter, and is set back from the road so it wasn't noisy. It has a small breakfast room, but nevertheless an excellent selection of food including fresh fruits, cereals, bread, cold meats and cheese. Our room was very well decorated and was immaculate. Plus points were: robes and slippers, tea & coffee making facilities and a large bathroom, but the downside was a lack of natural light due to there being only a small window. Very attentive and helpful staff. Would definitely recommed this hotel to anyone visiting Krakow.

A lovely small hotel next to the Radisson. Good sized rooms beautifully furnished. Friendly, efficient staff. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel also organised a trip to Auschitwz and the Salt Mines with a local guide Andrew. He was very knowledgable, a great companion and worth his weight in gold. Andrew also picked us up and took us back to the airport.

However the hotel has no bar and no restaurant in the evening. This is not really a problem as there are so many lovely places to eat in Karkow.

    • Tips/Secrets: — Book Andrew, the guide for trips to Auschitwz and salt mines.
