I have to agree with the other review. This was an excellent find - so close to everything and by Prague standards - affordable. You are literally 50 metres to the Castle side of Charles Bridge -a 15 minute stroll from the astronomical clock, 15 minutes the other way to the Castle - the location can't be beat. You feel you are really in the centre of things yet the rooms yield little or no street noise. There is a free breakfast until 10am in the little cafe that attaches to the hotel but no room service (expected in such a small establishment), however the minibar is very affordable and there are coffee/tea making facilities in the room. This small hotel only has 8 rooms. I would strongly suggest one of the superior doubles (2nd and 3rd floors at the front) - trust me - it's worth the extra cost (and the review below is based on this type of room). There has been a residence on this site for 700 years yet the rooms are all completely renovated and modern on the inside with a large, comfortable king size bed, modern lighting, huge windows with great views, Satellite TV (though as in most of Prague - the only English language channels are BBC World, CNN, CNBC), CD/DVD Player, direct phone number and free internet - oh and the the front desk will even go out and get DVDs for you until midnight. The ceilings are very high - I think 12-14 feet and the room was very large with a separate anteroom for the closet, coatrack and mirror. The bathroom was wonderful. First off - the granite floors were heated as were the towel rails, there was an oversized bath - easily big enough for two, separate shower, fine toiletries, good hairdryer and thick towels/robes. I would highly reccomend this location unless you are a very light sleeper (The hall stairs are wood and can be heard in the room in the early morning but I was fine putting on the fan in the room drowning out the noise) or need an elevator to even get up 1 floor or you need air conditioning (might be the case in July). Staff are friendly, speak perfect English (don't forget your key if you are coming back late at night - the front desk is closed from midnight to 7am) and the car service is affordable and definitely worthwhile. There is also a sister hotel steps away from the castle entrance - Domus Henrici.
