“Comfortable, Central Marriott”

Prague Marriott Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Tucson, Arizona

The Prague Marriott is a comfortable, clean hotel inside the New Town section of central Prague. It's an easy walk from the Nam. Republiky Metro stop to this Marriott.

We used our free hotel points so I'm unsure of what the room rates would be in mid-October. Our room was a standard, king bed. It was in interior room so it looked out at a business building of some kind, not the street. It was quiet and the bed was very comfy. (If you go downstairs to the "casino" in the evening, as a hotel guest you get a free drink! We went just about every night and never really saw anyone gambling, but enjoyed chatting with the bartender and servers!!) The breakfast buffet in the morning is about $30 a person, but we found nice cafes in the morning for breakfast that were much cheaper.

Prague is a huge city, but very easy to navigate....if you have some landmarks to help you. Some of the sights we enjoyed: Charles Bridge, Prague Castle (plan on half a day-fab views of Prague from here), Jewish Quarter, Museurm of Communism, Old Town Square and be sure to see the Astronomical Clock!! Trams #22 and #23 are great for sightseeing and connect New Town with the Castle Quarter. The first night we went to the U-Prince Hotel for great night views of the Old Town Square. It's a 5-star hotel across from the clock. Take the elevator to the rooftop and take pics and have a drink! Really nice!!!

Overall, Prague is a fascinating, beautiful city! The people are quite friendly, but keep your valuables in the hotel safe. I always kept my purse under my coat. The Marriott staff warned us that pickpockets are everywhere, but we had no problems and felt very safe overall.

“Lack of Air Con”

Prague Marriott Hotel

Nov 4, 2007

Stayed here for 3 nights in October 07. Booked an Executive Room which was good, had complimentary access to the Executive Lounge which is useful. However our biggest problem was the heat in the room, when we arrived our room was like a sauna. We turned the air con to the lowest it could go - 5 degrees but it was still blowing out hot air. Contacted reception who sent up a technician, he seemed to mess about with wires but had no english. The temperature did drop somewhat but again on our last night the temperature was high. So Marriott put your air conditioning on even if it is October.

“American, American, not too close to downtown”

Prague Marriott Hotel

3 of 5 stars
Mountain View, California

This is an ATRIUM HOTEL that's just outside of the area you really want to stay in Prague. It's a couple of subway stops to downtown, and far from the castle district.

We had a company event here. Mostly older americans were here -lots of old folks tours. There's only a few restaurants nearby, and the hotel food is all american.

It's also under renovation, but that wasn't really an inconvenience. My room was renovated. It was a bit tired but no real issues.

“Pleased in Prague”

Prague Marriott Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Lafayette, Louisiana
Oct 8, 2007

Recently returned from a four night stay at this Hotel.. In all aspects we were very PLEASED . All staff members seemed to go all-out to make our stay pleasant & enjoyable. Excellent location, good food, well equipped fitness center, and spotless, large, comfortable Executive Level room all contributed to a most pleasant stay in delightful Prague. Additionally Executive Lounge was a nice spot for quiet relaxation... Only complaint...lack of coffee/tea maker in room. Kudos to "Marriott" for this property, they have it ..SPOT-ON !! ... Highly recomended.

“Great hotel except for warm rooms”

Prague Marriott Hotel

4 of 5 stars
Maryland, USA
Oct 8, 2007

We are a couple in our early sixties who have travelled widely in Europe. We had a very good stay in the hotel. The room was large, quiet, well-equipped and in perfect condition. The bath was large. The location was conventient for both walking and the Metro.

Our only complaint was that the hotel's cooling system was turned off for the season and with the outside tems in the 70's and sun shining on the room, the room was extremely warm.
