We stayed 10 days at Karibeach Hotel..and would do it agin, no question.
Rooms are nice, good view to the ocean.
That gave us every morning the right vacation feeling.
Some rooms have an aircondition and some just a fan at the ceiling. The fan was pretty good for march.
The beach in front of the hotel is just a jump out of the restaurant where Antonio serves really good food. (once again thanks for the good Doradofilet...we will miss it).

The beach is nice, chairs and towels are available for free and they also have a small beach bar

The hotel is a good place to relax and enjoy vacation.

Prices are reasonable. In march it was 35 U$ for a double, including breakfast

The small town Las Terrenas is about 10 minutes walk, so not too far for night life

The location is very good near to the village and on a beatiful uncrowded beach. Staff is nice and friendly, rooms are simple but confortable. The best piece of all is the restaurant with fabulous recipes. Antonio, the owner, is always available for helping in making the stay as good as possible, taking care of your needs and full of useful recommendations for excursions and activities.
We were two families with 3 children and we all enjoyed and relaxed. A place to go back again.

Had an awful experience, and I don't recommend this hotel anyone else. I was at this hotel in 2000 and had a great time when it was run by another owner. When I went back this year I was so disappointed! I only ended up staying 2 nights. New management has taken over what I once considered to paradise. The service is awful, and I found the place very dirty, each night there were cockroaches in my room. This hotel has lost the friendly feeling it once had, and I do not consider it to be a clean.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed. They do not spray for insects and we unfortunately had cockroaches every night. The beds are very uncomfortable and itchy, and the linens were very worn.

Several times we received the wrong food order in the restaurant. Instead of the owner taking the meal back to the kitchen and getting us the correct order, he stated that his staff was not very good and just assumed that we should eat the meal in front of us. One night while we were eating dinner at the restaurant a mouse ran right by the legs of our table.

Breakfast is the same meal each morning and the food became boring, very quickly. The water during our shower was more often cold, then hot. When it rained the roof leaked.

The topper for us was when we got our bill at the end of our vacation; the owner by 'mistake' had added an additional $50.00US.

I have never complained about any hotel I have stayed, but don't waste your money...there are much nicer hotels on this lovely beach, with better and more honest service.
