It's by far the best in Bundaberg and the tiny balcony with riverview is far more pleasant than being on the main road as the other hotel/motels are. Yes, the bar fridge was loaded; yes, there were three towels each for a one night stay (?); yes, it was clean; yes it was comfortable and adequate. It had typical boring hotel decor that seemed new. But most importantly, it was way overpriced. A$162 for a twin room for 1 night in a country town on standby rates beggars belief.
The service was very polite but I wouldn't say friendly. How much does a smile cost?
We didn't dine there as the restaurant had that noisy/austere/modern/expensive look, and it was empty. So we headed 15 mins down the road to Bargara. Now this is the place to stay, and you can get beachfront twin for A$145 per night. Kacy's restaurant had buckets of atmosphere and fab food.
