This hotel was perfectly located for walking into the central of Christchurch (only a couple of minutes away). It was located on the main street but the road was quiet and didn't cause a problem. Our room was a standard double and was very spacious and ideal for our 3 night stay with our room overlooking Victoria Square and the River Avon. In the centre of our room was an enclosed drinks making area with its own sink and mini bar. Breakfast in the restaurant was disappointing though with a buffet style choice and average service. The reception staff were good though and most helpful. Pay-as-you-go internet access was readily available on the four computers in the reception area.

A pretty average city hotel. The standard rooms in the hotel are all to the back and so is the nosey air-conditioning machinery. You can’t close the window to stop the noise as the window frames are in need of replacement and don’t close tightly. So if you don’t like a constant buzz at night bring ear plugs but personally I would recommend booking different hotel.

The hotel is situated in the city centre, ideal for walking around the town, everything is a stones throw away!
The bar area is nice and welcoming and serves good coffee.
Didn't see the restaurant or other area's of the hotel as we were only there one night.
The room was spacious and had a good size bathroom. The view from the room was over looking the park.
Staff were all friendly and service was very good!

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Television was provided with limited channel choice.

The only meal we had in the hotel was breakfast which I found very disappointing. It was expensive, at over $12 each, and the choices were limited and not very appitizing.

The coffee was tolerable, and tea excellent.

There was an awesome asian restaurant around the corner, and a convienent store down the block. We found a great tavern with the best pizzas made with hard rolls and fixings. The beer was cold and the rugby games surprisingly entertaining.
