Very clean and well maintained modern hotel, with clean sleek lines. The room was smaller than I'd expect for a 4* but ample big enough. Very nice, modern and clean bathroom with a shower over the bath. Our room was on the front of the hotel and the noise level was quite an issue, We were on the 22nd floor, so it must have been terrible for those on the lower levels. Our room also had a 'sea view', although thankfully we hadn't paid for it. Yes, you can see the sea, but through the buildings opposite. The rooms on the back seemed quieter. The lobby area is fine - quite basic but clean and welcoming, and the reception staff were very helpful in booking our transport to Brisbane. The hotel has a pool at the back of it overlooking the lagoon which is really peaceful. The pool itself is quite small, but the terrace area is quite a sun trap as the beach is in shade quite early. There's also a small gym with a few weight, treadmill.....not really sure as I only peeped in, but looked like modern equipment! The breakfast was $25 , very overpriced for average food. We only went once as we thought it poor value for money. The location of the hotel is great. Only a few minutes walk to the nightlife, and 5 mins to the beach. There is a security system in place in the hotel, and you need to swipe your room card to enter the lobby at night.
All in all, a good value hotel in a great location. I wouldn't stay here again, but that's mainly because of the noise from the road. I'd rate it a good 3*.
