Great tourist location in the middle of The Rocks. I arrived on a Sunday and found the outdoor crafts market going on just a block away. The hotel is on a quiet street about four blocks from both the Circular Quay ferry/subway station and the stairs to the Harbour Bridge.
My room on the 3rd floor was a very pleasant surprise: it was a big studio with a kitchenette, small dining set, couch and coffee table, desk, and queen bed with side tables. I liked the furnishings: 'clean lines' style, not terribly expensive, but comfortable, tasteful, and in good shape.
The most dramatic feature of the room was the 'wall of windows' with sliding glass doors onto a balcony that spanned the length of the room. The view from the room was interesting, over the rooftops of neighboring houses/shops to skyscrapers, but the view from the balcony was terrific: I could see the full span of the Harbour Bridge in one direction and a little bit of the Opera House and water in the other. (Note that I was there in winter: in summer, there are some trees that will partially obscure the 3rd floor view.)
I thought this hotel was a great value for US$155 (thru Expedia). I would definitely stay here again.
