Just returned from a 3 night stay at Quay West Suites. My 3 sisters & I took Mum to Sydney for her 70th birthday. It was also the year of her 50th wedding anniversary and Sydney was where my parents honeymooned, so she had not been back for that long !!!

We had a fantastic 2 bdrm Harbour View suite on 17th floor. The view was breathtaking overlooking Harbour Bridge & Opera House. At night we left the blinds open to watch the lights.

Location is great, a very short walk to Circular Quay to catch transport and walking to shops & restaurants at The Rocks.

The suite was equipped with everything we needed, kitchen, laundry, 2 bathrooms, lounge area & dining area. Rooms were clean and beds reasonable comfortable. We had no problems with all 5 of us fitting into the suite comfortably.

The hotel has a great pool on 24th floor, again with great views towards the harbour & city. The pool is heated and has a great big window at the side where you can see underwater !!! It also has a small gym, spa and sauna.

The only downside we had staying at the hotel was a small incident of missing jewellery (which we reported) otherwise our stay was wonderful & I would recommend the hotel to anyone considering staying here.

Quay West suites are superbly located for Circular Quay. The rooms were well maintained and quite spacious. We had a city view room, which was fine. There is a viewing room on 23rd floor from which you can see Sydney Harbour bridge and the Opera House. The suites are well situated for excellent restaurants along Circular Quay. Martin Place and the rest of downtown are within easy walking distance along George St. We would definitely stay here again!

“Fantastic views and location”

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of March in a 2 bedroom harbour view suite. We were on the 19th floor and the views are stunning of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
The apartment is well laid out with the bedrooms set back along a corridor before you reach the living/dining area and the spectacular view. The kitchen is small but adequate though with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, you are unlikely to do much cooking. The bedrooms were very quiet, despite the busy Cahill Expressway in front of the building. The bathrooms were both fine with the en suite off the main bedroom having both a bath and a separate shower. The apartment is spacious enough for those of us suffering jet lag to get up at 430am and not disturb those still sleeping.
We enjoyed the swimming pool on the 23rd floor as well as the gym on the same level.
We did not eat in the restaurant and frankly, it is much much cheaper to eat out locally for breakfast. We bought lots of deli goodies at David Jones' food hall and there is a good Bottle Shop (off licence) a short distance a way in George Street.
The furnishings are not lavish as some have noted and if you are not booking a room with a harbour view I am not sure it is worth the cost.
We had free valet parking and we found the reception staff helpful.
Our children want us to stay there again when we next return to Sydney.

“5 star accommodation - a let down”

Quay West Suites Sydney

Was looking forward to staying at this 5star hotel. Had booked a 2 bedroom suite for 4 adults and a 1 bedroom suite for my elderly parents. The view from our suite was spectacular, however the general cleanliness of both suites were very dissappointing. eg. Grubby dining chairs, glassware needed cleaning before using. Pool was filthy. Smelly bathroom, large brown stains in grout around toilet, shower didn't drain properly, hence overflowed onto floor. Took ages to drain away. Worn and stained carpet. Have stayed in 5 star accommoation before and this was no where near it. Would not recommend this place.

Quay West is just beautiful. My husband and i along with our 2 boys spent Easter there. It is a great location and the Teppanyaki just up the street is one of the best i have eaten.

The pool is magnificent the kids loved it. The room was clean with ample space. Room service was great. Valet parking was great. Overall we had a fantastic experience and i would highly recommend Quay West Suites.
