My wife and I have just spent the weekend staying in Sydney at the Intercontinental. This is our first stay at this particular hotel, but it certainlty won't be our last. The view was one of the best we have experienced, the Harbour bridge was so big from our floor to ceiling window and the opera house was only a short distance away. The location is at circular quay so transport by ferry, bus, train is only 100 metres away. The rooms and pillows are luxurious and well worth the money. We also experienced the restaurant and it was satisfactory, although with so many fine restaurants nearby it would pay to explore other places nearby. We found many places nearby (400Metres) to the Rocks area.

Recently stayed and took the package which included breakfast ,valet parking which had cost us $40 at a nearby establishment of the same class. But (psst), the thing that really attracted us to the IC was the 5:00pm check out. This gave us the next day to have a civilised breakfast, do some shopping and grab a ferry to Manly. Then back for lunch and walk through the Botanical Gardens in the afternoon. We saw it as a second day on the hotel.

Had a weekend at The Intercontinental with a City View room on 27th floor (views of the city and West). Also lucky enough to have access to the Club Interconinental lounge which has fabulous service and one of the most stunning and priviledged views of Sydney I have experienced.

Location is fabulous... walking distance to all transport (train, ferry, bus), close to Circular Quay, opp the gardens for harbour walks.

Highly reccommend this hotel for a relaxing and pleasurable stay.

Only down-point was the pool which is small-ish, highly chlorinated, and it is just a bit of a shame that it doesn't have a higher ceiling.

Booked on Wotif and got package with late checkout, valet parking, king room and breakfast included. Good deal. Checkin was good, room service was good. Bed was very comfy and view over city was nice. Great location. Valet parking were quick to bring back the car even though they seemed very busy. Staff we dealt with were all excellent. Breakfast was delivered to room hot and at the time we requested. No problems at all. We had a lovely night here after wandering the Rocks and the Quay for dinner.
