I visited the Bog Village in 2002 and again in 2004. This village is one of my favorites in the whole of Ireland. The place is serene and beautiful, with bog ponies to see, Irish music always being played, a great gift shop, and the best Irish coffee in the world at the Red Fox Inn next door. Best of all is the wonderful smell of peat burning in the fireplaces.

We have visited the Red Fox Inn numerous times and they have the best Irish coffee in all of Ireland. We will continue to go back as much as possible.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Bog Village while on a Ring of Kerry tour. The village is beautiful and a very nice way to step back into time and see what it was like to live in an 18th century bog in Ireland. My favorite part of the visit was the Irish coffee at the Red Fox! They are famous for their coffee for good reason. You will receive a coupon for some $ off your coffee if you purchase a ticket to the Bog Village. I have been hard pressed to find an Irish coffee that tastes so good anywhere else in the world. I can only dream of visiting again!
