We spent one week of our Honeymoon at the Eden Roc and not only was the hotel very intimate, elegant and ideal for Honeymoon but the staff were so helpful and friendly. An added bonus of the hotel is a pool, which seemed quite rare in Positano. It was very quiet and serene which in August is great as the beach was incredibly busy.

We stayed at the Eden Roc in July of 2006 for four beautiful days and nights. This was absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed in! The room was superb, with a gorgeous bathroom and luxurious bedroom suite. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with resturant suggestions and things to do in Positano. The best suggestion was a trip up the mountain to a local italian resturant with great food and the best view of Positano! The pool was small, but nice for a late afternoon dip. The bar was great, and their icy Lemoncello's were the best! Overall, this was an excellent ending for our two week trip to Italy. We loved it !

We spent part of our 25th Anniversary trip here in August 2006. The staf were friendly and helpful, particularly Rafaele who answered our many emails with patience and humour.

Our room was the Imperial suite which had its own hot tub on the balcony, sheer luxury to sink into after a hard day sightseeing, glass of wine/champagne in hand. The rest of the suite was also fabulous.

One small criticism is that they did not acknowledge our Anniversary (this has been mentioned before by another poster) a card/bottle of wine would have really addded to a memorable occasion) By contrast another hotel close by went out of their way to do something special for us and produced a cake and had us serenaded by musicians at dinner. This was so special for us and made our day.

Overall though we had a wonderful stay at the Eden Roc and would not hesitate to return.

What this place lacks is a stairway to heaven!

We have just returned home from a 10 night stay at the Eden Roc and we cannot wait to return.

I will comment on 4 aspects of the hotel which I believe to be the most important

1. Welcome
We were treated like royalty for the entire trip. Anything we asked for or requested was tended to immediatley. From booking cabs to getting extra towels, it was all done with grace and manners and the best attitude I've ever seen in a hotel. The owner and his two sons have created a totally customer orientated approach which their staff embrace also. Pasquale (Pascal) is a very friendly guy who will go out of his way to ensure you get what you want!

2. Food
We went on a B&B basis but ate in the hotel 3 nights in total and had lunch there several times. SUPER seafood and steak. Great waiters. There was a slight mistake with my meal the first night (gave me mixed salad instead of mixed veg) which I wasn't overly annoyed with but they insisted on giving us complimentary wine and did not charge us for the whole meal even thought there was actually nothing wrong with the food! Class. Reall really class.

3. Cleanliness
Not a spot of dirt or litter in the place - and I mean not a spot. The cleaning staff did our rooms every morning and evening and always ensured there were fresh towels and robes. Pool are very clean and tidy.

4.Rooms
Probably considered small by American standards but by European standards these rooms are huge. We were in a Junior Suite (Room 416 - request it if staying in that type of room) and we had a large bed, large bathroom with jacuzzi and shower, a large balcony overlooking the harbour and sea and a separate living area. Always clean and kept well.


I travel a lot. I stay in hotels a lot both in Ireland and Europe. I work as a Manager in a sports facility here in Ireland.

If I could get my business to be as customer orientated as the Eden Roc I would be a very successful person!

The hotel is by far THE VERY BEST hotel I have ever stayed in. Forget the Mariotts, Forget the Radissons, forget all the big name hotels that herd you in and herd you out.

The Eden Roc is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Bar None.
