Good location, okay decor and facilities, staff excellent, friendly towards our two toddlers which made the whole stay very pleasant. Also very good evening meals in the restaurant.

ServiceMy partner and I stayed two nights at the Lymm Hotel Easter 2007 to use up some of out Macdonald Hotel Loyalty Rewards. From the moment we arrived to the second we left the staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the buffet breakfast would leave no-one hungry.
The majority of rooms are in a modern extension but we were in the old, main hotel in a delightfully cosy room with a more than adequate en suite.
The bar is comfortable with drinks at near pub prices.
Lymm itself is a large village with fair amenities, pleasant canal walks and five minutes from the M6 / M56.
We had a thoroughly pleasant stay and I'd be happy to reccommend the Lymm Hotel as a nice place to drop out quietly for a couple of days.

ServiceI stayed for one night on business and I shall not be returning. The non smoking room was very very smoky. The bathroom was poor - the towel rail fittings were broken and the sink was cracked. The common parts were shoddy and the corridor smell was more akin to a stale pub. If you book make sure that the radiators are turned on BEFORE you get into the room. My room was freezing on arrival and took four hours to warm up. The dining room was in need of refurbishment with cracked wallpaper and damp. Breakfast was good.
Booked a family room for Boxing Day. Room was big - we are a family of four and we had ample space. No problems with the hotel - safe, warm, and large. Breakfast was OK. I prefer a "greasy spoon" type breakfast, and this was anything but. It was grilled and great, with a superb choice of fruit and cereal. Will certainly stay again.

ServiceI only stayed for one night but the hotel is generally very pleasant. The rooms were nice (not necessarily my taste as a bit floral) and very clean. It was excellent value for money at £70 for a single room and £80 for a twin.
The breakfast was lovely - a good selection to choose from and very well cooked.
The one drawback was the wedding party - we all heaved a sigh of relief when the disco finished at midnight, but the party continued (quite noisily) for some time. At 2am someone even started playing the piano! If you stay there, check there is no wedding party, and if there is ask for a room that isn't directly above the piano!
Lymm itself is a lovely little village, well worth a stroll round.
