“So quiet!”

This hotel is really central (just up from the Danube and just down from the cathedral) yet tucked away down a little side street.
It was so peaceful both in terms of noise from outside, but also on the inside. We were scarcely aware of any other guests staying until we saw them all at breakfast!
The room was really large and well-appointed.
The reception staff were really friendly and helpful - we'll be back!

We only stayed one night, before we headed to the airport the next day. Smallish but comfy room with good bed. We were near the stairs, so there was a little talking noise once from the lobby below, but other than that it was quiet and in a great location. They do have free wi-fi, if you need that. Breakfast included in prices. Service was good and they were able to help us make a dinner reservation and get us a taxi to the airport in the morning.

The room at Hotel Austria

My wife and I visited Vienna a weekend in December 07. We stayed at Hotel Austria and had a very nice experience! We have been travel nearly “all over” Europe and have visited a lot of different hotels - but this is the very best one! We have of course visited more luxurious hotels but not a hotel with an excellent service like this hotel.

My Wife and I celebrate a special day during the stay. When we came back from shopping this day the staff had placed a bottle of champagne in a cooler at the room – free of charge!

The room was big and nice decorated. Cleaning was excellent and the breakfast was significant.

So we will give this hotel our best recommendations!

Superb clean welll-furnished room. Amazing price for room without private bathroom. Location superb: central but totally quiet. Good staff, good breakfast, no hassles: what you want but rarely get. And in Vienna?

I agree with all the good reviews about hotel Austria. It is beautiful, clean, the stuff is great, the location is great. We had a room facing backside and it was absolutely quiet. Well, yes, there is no view other than facing windows, but that's what you must expect in the very heart of the city. I would also like to mention that we had "an economy room" for just 75 euros per night. You get the bedroom, toilet and shower separately on the corridor. All three doors are opened by the same key. If you do not mind leaving the room and taking three steps in the corridor for shower, you can save lots of money. We found the possibility great and would absolutely advise it.
