We (2 couples) stayed 3 nights at the Tigra and all agree it was terrific. The rooms were large, well appointed, modern, spotless, etc. The buffet breakfast was among the best we have ever had in a hotel. Terrific variety and quality. Their hot chocolate was better than that in the famous cafes. Service and desk staff were attentive. Hotel is central and an easy walk to everything within the ring. The best part is the history of the place. The Tigra is in the same two buildings where Leopold and young Wolfgang Mozart stayed when he was introduced to Vienna. The palace where he gave his first concert in Vienna is just around the corner. Mozart also stayed at that address as an adult. Imagine! We paid a low season rate of 124 euros/room-an excellent value.

We just returned from a 3 days trip in this hotel. Rooms of the annex (same price) are not at all those on the website and we are quite disappointed of the furniture room (a 4 star you said ?). But location in the center of Vienna is great, you don't need to have busses or tubes.
I have to admit that breakreafast is fine and so my point of view was improving. But at the end of our trip they made troubles with the voucher of our travel agency : if only the employee of the hotel was kind.........

It was back in 1997 when my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Tigra Hotel in Vienna. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them to help and advise us on any questions we asked of them.
My husband and I were so pleased with the hotel that we decided that we would stay there on our next visit to Autria.
Alas that trip never eventuated for us as sadly my husband passed away suddenly. I am able to have very happy memories of our last holiday together and it is thanks to the Tigra Hotel and all of its wonderful staff.
