We travelled to Malmo on an extended weekend break and stayed at the Elite Savoy Hotel. The location of this hotel is excellent just across the river from the train station, tourist information centre and bus station. Despite this it was not a noisy location. The hotel is also just a 2 minute walk to the main squares and top of the pedestrianised shopping streets. There are lots of restuarants in these areas. The hotel was very good although we do think we got the smallest room in the hotel! However as we got such a fantastic price for our stay which included a full continental breakfast we thought we got an excellent deal. As the weather was extremely hot we requested a fan which was provided free of charge with no deposit needed. We asked for a safety deposit box and again this was free of charge and no deposit needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10.45 in the morning and were able to check in immediately.
We flew into Sturup Airport, we recommend taking the Flygbussarna - which is a bus into Malmo (they also go to Lund) it was 95SEK each, each way and they take credit cards. This was an easy stressfree way to get to Malmo. The bus dropped us off directly opposite our hotel all we had to was cross the road.
We recommend Malmo as a destination and this hotel.
