Lovely place to stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Facilities very good. Pool great and nearby beach beautiful. Recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at Vila Mos first week in April. Location is fine with access to both town and beach. On the down side pool was freezing, apartments were poorly kitted out and in particular kitchen was very poor - no microwave, no kettle no toaster. We were given a toaster and kettle by reception upon complaining but these were very poor quality and did not have auto turn off.

Staff in bar struggled to work till and on one occassion we had to wait 10 mins for change.On the plus side beds are very comfortable, and apartments are of a good size. The previous week i stayed at Jardim da Maia Praia with a gruop of hgolfers an the accomodation was far superior. Vila Mos is at best 3* in comparison to Jardim da Maia Praia.

The apartment and staff were excellent. THe gardens, facilities and everything were A1. The only fault of the apartment was the fridge was in the same room as the bed and was rather noisey. We just unplugged thefridge during the night when it was cooler anyway :)
The location is a liitle far from town but near an excellent beach and the price was amazing.

We spent a week in Lagos in July and were lucky enough to hear of Vila Mos from friends who had holidayed in the area earlier in the year. Vila Mos is a four star Aparthotel with a very exclusive atmosphere but is combined with a friendly and totally relaxing ambience. Staff were so accomodating and genuinely interested in ensuring our holiday was all that it should be. There is some construction going on around you but all seem to be multi-million euro villas so villa-spotting from our terrace was a very pleasant occupation and was in no way intrusive. The views over the Algarve coastline are spectacular and we were only a few minutes from the beautiful beach of Porto de Mos - lots of activities on the beach and a lovely beach bar for that lunchtime beer or freshly squeezed orange juice. Lagos is only a five minute drive away and it's a lovely walled, historic, genuine Portuguese town with plenty of shops, restaurants etc. The new Marina is a joy and has bars and restaurants where you can sit and admire the fabulous yachts etc. All in all a great holiday for all age groups - a car would be advisable unless you want to stay put and use taxis for your nightly visit to the Lagos restaurants (100s to chose from !) or if you just can't move dinner in the Vila Mos restaurant is a great alternative. Will definitely be back !
