Had a great time at the Aqualuz. I think it was renovated in the last year or so and they have done a great job. The pool area is really nice with loads of loungers. The snack bar is very reasonable and the staff are very nice and will chat away with very good English. The games room has a couple of pool tables, table tennis and video games. The hotel was very quiet while i was there which is a shame for such a nice hotel. The spa and gym are really nice as well. The town centre is about a 10 min walk away along the beach and downhill. Got a taxi back for 3.50 euro to avoid the hill. Lagos itself is really nice with loads of great bars and restaurants.
All in all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. Simple check in, receptionist spoke little English but enough to get our points across.

Courtyard/Pool area very nice. 2 large pools, one for kids and the other for adults.

Rm 264 very nice, modern and spacious. It was a comfortable stay, wish we had more time.

Bar made good drinks and decently priced.

Walk to city center was a little more than 10 min but it is doable, wear comfortable shoes. Beach was about a 10 minute drive, we went to the beach down the street from the Marina.

We visited this hotel for 11 nights in the hotel largest suite with the kitchen. We visited out of season - there was a max of 5 rooms occupied at any one time during our stay and the hotel has over 500 rooms! The hotel was scarily quiet and the restraunt and so called 'Irish Bar' were too. All the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and chatty.

This isn't to be said for the rather rude fitness club reception staff. The fitness club (2 indoor pools, gym etc) is separate to the hotel but you are allowed to use it once a day with a pass form the hotel reception staff. Me and my husband found the fitness club to be quite snooty and the reception staff escpecially rude and unhelpful. We used the gym a few times and the staff working inside the gym were nice but there was no air con - far too hot to work out in! The indoor pools were nice but you have to wear a full swim suit (if you're a lady!) and swimming cap-seemed v over the top! We only went once but it seems that the local children have swimming lessons there so it was busy and noisy. Also its worth noting that the sauna/steam rooms are in the seperate male/female changing rooms.

The first week of our stay was great as the weather was good. The outdoor pool area is lovely and well thought out and the roof solarium was lovely to go to when it got a bit cooler in the afternoon (lovely view of the sea and roof tops)

The second week was overcast and cold. Our air conditioning had broken (we needed to use it for heat!) and it took 3 attempts for the maintenance people to fix it! We got so fed up with asking that we asked to move room but then found that our room was the only room in the whole hotel to have a double bed. The hob in our kitchen also broke but the 1st time we asked the reception staff if it could be fixed it was. (Don't think this was the hotels fault but the maintenance peoples) The rooms were cleaned by the cleaning ladies everyday to a high standard and they were very friendly.

We went for breakfast a few time which was very nice - served between 8-10am & 5 euros. Good value! we also used the snack bar - v good value again and good food. The restraunt was very nice inside, plenty of choice for wine and a good menu. Massive portions!!

Another nice thought was that we got served a bottle of champagne sent to our room on our first night with compliments from the manager (it was our honeymoon). The hotel really did make us feel welcome and the room was lovely (v modern)

All of the rooms overlook the swimming pool it is a brill place to stay. You have 2 outdoor pools then you have a gym like fitness first attached to it with 2 indoor pools and all of the running machines and bikes etc, tried this once was brill was going to try again but the weather was fab so dedcided against it. We never seen the maid once i think they knew when you went out and always had it lovely for you to come back to. The reception and bar staff could not do enough for you were always polite and helpful had a meal in hotel one night it was superb. The hotel has been refurbished and it is lovely you also have on the roof a lot of sunbeds which are comfortable hope to stay in this hotel in the near future.
