Stayed here in February for a conference. The location is excellent - handy for the restaurants towards the centre as well as the Van Gogh and Rembrandt museums. Getting there from the airport without using taxis is easy, too - train to the Central Station and then trams 1, 5 or 6 - total cost 5 euro. Note - it's best to have some Euro coins to buy tickets from the automatic machines.
Most of the stay was good - the room was a good size and the facilities were in good order. On the plus side, the windows opened, there was broadband internet access (and I was only charged a day, despite using it for 3 days), the bed was comfortable and the bath was good. However:
I asked for non-feather bedding. The pillows were replaced quickly, but the duvet was just taken off and not replaced, despite my asking for a non-feather one on a separate occasion.
Internet access is expensive - 29.95 euro
I was charged for bar expenditure I didn't make (which was refunded)
Breakfast is (as seems often to be the case) very expensive - 18 euro minimum - make sure it's included.
The air-com makes a noise like a jumbo taking off, and mine seemed only to heat with no control.
They have a security system that means you have to use your room key to activate the lift - this is acceptable for going up from ground, but coming down?
I hated the smell they pipe into the corridors.
On balance I'd use it again, but they should tackle the niggles.
