My wife and I stayed at Villa Elda in June of this year(2008). I had been to the area before and had some business to attend to on this trip. We looked on TripAdvisor and saw some good reviews so decided to contact the Hotel directly. The staff was wonderful and very responsive regarding reservations. Their English is very good.
We flew to Rome and drove to Siena which takes approx. 2.5 hours. Finding the hotel was a little tricky but not a problem. The Hotel is a grand home in a lovely residential area of Siena. We had a double room with bath. The room was large and well decorated. These are not the typical small rooms you normally get. We had breakfast most mornings in the garden.The Hotel has no internet service and we decided not to bring a laptop thinking we had enough luggage and could use an internet cafe. Instead, the staff let us use the Hotel computer! You won't get that kind of service in any chain hotel.
It was very easy walking anywhere in the city from the Hotel. There is plenty of parking on the street and we had no safety worries at all. This is a beautiful Villa in a great neighborhood. The staff is truly wonderful with any reservations, trips or special needs. We just can't say enough about the staff. Great service certainly makes traveling more enjoyable. We really think there is no better place to stay in Siena than Villa Elda.

Stayed in one of the 11 lovely rooms at Villa Elda June 10-13 2008. Be sure to ask for a room with view of the ancient city of Siena! Giorgia is a most gracious hostess and we also enjoyed meeting her handsome son Davide. Our room was spotless, with a large modern bathroom, a TV with cable, a mini-bar, and a lovely view. We found the Villa Elda to be perfectly situated just outside the ancient walls of Siena, with an easy and interesting walk to the Campo and other sights within the walls. Walking home late at night was easy and comfortable, always lots of people around, felt very safe. If you are there on a Wednesday, be sure to visit the weekly outdoor market, near Luna Park, which is just a short distance from the hotel. Every kind of fresh food plus clothing, flowers and other goods sold at great prices. Mostly patronized by locals, and an amazing setting.
Giorgia and her staff serve a full breakfast in a nice dining area or out in the lovely garden if the weather permits. She is happy to make restaurant recommendations and reservations also. We will definitely stay at Villa Elda next time we are fortunate enough to be in Siena!

We stayed at the Villa Elda for two nights in mid-June. We were traveling with our daughters and in-laws and had three rooms at the hotel. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the property. The rooms were very clean and updated, the morning breakfast was of good quality, and the service was impeccable.

While the property is located in a residential neighborhood, the access to Il Campo is very easy and the view from the rooftop terrace in the evening should not be missed.

Signora Giorgia Polzinetti and her staff make you feel that they are genuinely glad you are staying with them. The service is delivered quietly, efficiently, and always with a smile. All six members of my party agreed that the Villa Elda was a perfect choice for our stay in Siena.

Hotel Villa Elda was a most welcoming find. It was my first visit to Siena and they were able to accomodate my touring needs as well as suggesting excellent restaurants.

Georgia, the proprietor, was moe than gracious , helpful, and patient with all my requests. It was obvious she aimed to please-her #1 priority for the Hotel Villa Elda.

The employees from Sri Lanka were friendly, dutiful, and proud to be of service to the guests. I highly recommend this hotel while visiting this Italian destination. Roseana M.
