Residence Michelangiolo provided us with one of our most pleasant stays during our two-week tour of Italy. Angela warmly greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel extremely welcomed. We had initially passed the residence and journeyed up the winding road to a spectacular view of Florence at Piazzale Michelangelo. It was a great introduction to the the beautiful city of Firenze.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. We spent much of our time walking along the Arno to the city center and also visiting the small shops around the residence. Angela was very helpful in recommending restaurants and sites. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the family-owned "Trattoria GIGI" - a short walk from the residence located on Via G. Orsini.
We highly recommend Residence Michelangiolo and would look to stay there again on our next visit to Florence.

What an absolutely delightful place to spend our honeymoon. We arrived to a warm welcome and much appreciated assistance tracking down our luggage which apparently fell into a black hole in Milano. Our room was enormous and the bed very comfortable. We really appreciated the kitchenette. Everything was clean, comfortable and lovely. And, even in January, Florence was beautiful... with very few tourists.

The hotel's location was perfect for walking into town... close enough to be convenient, far away enough to feel like we deserved that wonderful chocolate dessert. after dinner

Angela and Cherubino were wonderful to us the entire time. They recommended the best restaurants you could imagine (everything they say about Italian food is true...amazing!) Be sure to get Angela's suggestions. She won't lead you astray. She even stood in the middle of the street blocking traffic so we could make a left turn out of the front gate. (Don't drive in Italy if you are timid.)

We would be delighted to stay at Residence Michelangiolo the next time we are in Firenze!! You will be very happy if you stay there. In fact, sitting here looking back on it all, we want to go back for our first anniversary! (or sooner).

What a Treat it was to stay here; I was on a Special trip with my Parents and This truely was our home away from home. Our hosts Angela and Caribeno were Warm;Friendly and very helpful.
the setting is beautiful on a tree lined street ; the Villa is beautifully renovated and was quite confortable to stay in. We had 2 rooms on the ground floor that both had nice kitchenettes that really came in handy . My room opened up onto the back patio area which was just lovely. I travel a lot for work and I loved it here, it was such a peaceful setting you would never guess it was so close to the center of town.
If your not hung up on being in the center of town I highly recomend this place. It`s a quick 5 min Taxi ride to the center or walkable in 15 mins.

The Residence Michelangiolo is a great value.

We had a very large room with 16 foot ceilings and windows looking out on the backyard. Our room had a little kitchen corner that was stocked with all the basics (including coffee, some snacks, and milk and drinks in the refridgerator).

The staff was very warm and welcoming.

They were even kind enough to let us leave are bags in their office for the day after we checked out (as we were taking a late night train out of Florence).

The only thing to note is the location from the city center. It is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the ponte vecchio - but, from the train station, I would recommend a cab (10 euros).
