Hotel David was outstanding! We stayed for 3 days. We
were definitely not disappointed. Hotel David is simply
charming and was everything I had hoped for as this was
our 1st time in Florence. We picked it based on all the
great reviews on Trip Advisor. Lots of charm, were treated
like family, great appetizers and wine in the evening.
Beds were wonderful and bathrooms, though small,
were spotless and were decorated with colorful italian tile.
It is located on the other side of the Arno and is just
a nice walk to the Ponte Vecchio. It was nice at the end
of the day to come back to the Hotel David with it's greenery
and away from all the motor bikes. All the hotel staff were
wonderful, helping us with anything from restaurants to
museum tickets. We look forward to coming back and
would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was one of 3 hotels we stayed at on our trip to Italy. We were encouraged by other reviews.

We found hotel full of character, in a great location with helpful friendly staff. Our only criticism is that the bathrooms, although absolutely clean, are looking slightly dated and lack the character of the rest of the hotel. But that would really be our only criticism. Immaculately clean everywhere.

Our family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed at the Hotel David for three nights. It was our first trip to Florence, and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. Our room was large for the four of us, impeccably clean, and the bathroom was a good size as well (especially the shower cabin). My kids liked all the hotel decorations, from the pictures to the wall stickers and the many books and magazines.

The hotel staff has the friendliest and most helpful people I have encountered in a long time. They had good recommendations, they were energetic, and always willing to talk with a smile on their face.
Happy hour was fun. My husband and I would enjoy a glass of wine, while our children played in the little garden outside.

The location was excellent, right at the foot of Piazzale Michelangelo (best views over Florence). Every evening we would take a stroll up there. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the Ponte Vecchio, or if you are tired you could take the bus.

Breakfast was good, the cappuchino was excellent.

Hotel David is like a 4star hotel, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florence.

We selected Hotel David through TA and we were not disappointed. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome. Our room was delightful with a comfortable bed and very clean.
It was the extra things that made the hotel exceptional. they provide internet access for free and when you arrive you are given your sign on for the period of your stay. They also have a happy hour each evening from 1800-1900 where they provide red and white wine and 'nibbles'. This was a great way to share travel tips with fellow guests and contributed to the overall friendly atmosphere of the hotel. The office staff were always friendly and helpful. Hotel David was our first impression of the Italian hotel hospitality and we were impressed.
