My 16 year old daughter and I arrived exhausted after several flight problems, and were happy to be greeted and escorted to our cozy room by the handsome famous Pierpaulo. My daughter was speechless, needless to say.
I got a nice room with two twins, and a tub as I asked for, and soaked the soreness away. The towel warmers were nice, and I was jealous since I don't have this at home. All that talk on here about towels. Funny. They were lovely. The beds were comfy. The place was spotless. .After noisy neighbors left the next day, it was beautifully quiet, and we felt like we were welcomed into someones home, not a hotel.
The ladies at breakfast were kind and generous, and we miss them. "Cappuccino" "Espresso " . There was too much to chose from. I gained weight. As a nurse, I spend most of my time taking care of others. It was lovely to be cared for at breakfast the way these ladies did. My daughter is without grandparents, since all have passed, and she wanted to take "Grandmother" home with us. Hot chocolate and all. We did ask to keep her, and invited her to stay with us in America anytime.
The gentleman at the bar in the evening was very kind, even though I asked him if he was French...Too much wine...no insult intended.
This was the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in, including all those places in Disney World. I highly recommend it. I really wouldn't waste time looking anywhere else.
November was a great time to visit. I felt the price was reasonable, even on a nurses salary.
I probably will only dream of returning there, unless the local hospital starts hiring American nurses, but Firenze will always be in my heart.Especially its handsome men. Your City is beautiful.Thank you. Tina
