Will not repeat what most of the others have said. l found this an excellent value hotel Euros 58 per night for 2 incl breakfast.

Good standard, more than adequate. A little bit out of the Old town but you get what you pay for. We walked into town and back no probs at all.

Parking outside the door and if full, park on the street.

Definately would stay again.

“Good Value”

We were pleasantly surprised to find a 4* hotel for such a low price.
Overall, the hotel was sufficient for our needs, however I'm not sure I would rate it as 4*. The hotel decor is elegant & clean, if a little dated. The room we stayed in was oddly laid out but large enough with all the usual conveniences you would expect from a 4*. The bathroom was clean with modern decor and a good shower. Complimentary toiletries were replenished daily (the sachet of intimate gel amused us)!
There was quite a bit of noise throughout the day & night. The hotel is right next to a busy road & the railway line & there is a church bell tower which rings at random times in the morning & evening.
Next door is a big supermarket which was great for getting snacks, milk & teabags for the room.
Breakfast was good with a selection of fruit, cakes, bread, meats etc...
We couldn't find any nice looking restaurants nearby so ate in the hotel restaurant one evening. I paid 8 euros for a small bowl of average tasting pasta & the steak was a bit overpriced & quite fatty.
The staff were friendly & most spoke good english but when i asked the receptionist about the parking outside, she shrugged & said I should look at the signs. However the receptionist on duty when we checked out was far more helpful & talkative. The parking outside turned out to be free at all times! Big bonus as the hotel car park was charged for at 5 euros per night.

“Clean, cheap and great staff - what more do you want for a siteseeing weekend”

I found this hotel listed as a hostel on hostelbookers.com and what a find. The hotel offered bed and breakfast at an amazing rate. It's not in the centre of town and it's more of a business hotel than a romantic hotel - but if you want somewhere to stay with parking, with a good bus route, to give you the opportunity to see Verona on a budget then this is the hotel for you.
It's really clean, the buffet breakfast is great, the staff are friendly - I would recommend it for young couples on a budget, friends, families and business.

“Excellent business hotel”

Maxim Hotel

I stayed overnight at the Maxim having received a good deal through "AirMiles".

Outside looks like a grey concrete block, and it's a little far from the city centre (although you can catch the bus for 1 euro 20 from 5 minutes round the corner).

There is a supermarket adjacent to the hotel which is excellent for snacks and drinks if you don't want to use the mini-bar or room service, and if you have driven there is ample free parking.

Inside the decor is a little "disconcerting" - yellow walls contrasting with grey-blue picture rails. I think I can see what they were going for, but didn't quite get there. However, obviously, you haven't come to study the paint, so it's certainly liveable with! The rooms themselves are large and comfortable - lovely bathrooms offering a nice selection of shampoos and shower caps. The towels are fluffy too.

The Hot Buffet Breakfast is varied - eggs, bacon, lots of bread/toast, as well as cold meats, fruit and the usual pastries common in European hotels. The staff are friendly and efficient, and I would use the hotel's taxi to get to and from the airport as it's cheaper than the local cabs (it _does_ smell of smoke however which can be a bit much for a 30 minute journey). .

There is wireless and internet access, a welcoming hotel bar and restaurant, and I can see the appeal for business travel. If you want something a bit more "homey" this isn't quite the palce for you, but as a 4* I certainly have no complaints, and would consider staying there again - although i'd have to weigh up the standard against the distance away from the sights.

“Ideal for a short break”

Maxim Hotel

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel Maxim for 2 nights which was perfect. The room was huge and very clean and breakfast was continental buffet but more than adequate. The staff on the frontdesk were very helpful and informative. The hotel is a 10minute bus ride from the centre of Verona but we didn't find this a problem and found the buses to be regular even on a Sunday.

You have to get a taxi to the hotel from the airport which costs about 30 euro's and takes 20minutes.

The only problem with the hotel is the area it's set in, which is very residential and a bit run down. Although there is an excellent pizzeria 5 minutes walk from the hotel which was very good value for money and really tasty!

All in all if I was visiting Verona again i'd definitly stay here.
