“Great Stay”

My wife and I stayed one night at this wonderful bed and breakfast at the beginning of our honeymoon. The room was gorgeous, quiet, spacious, and had a great view. No complaints at all! We were able to take a taxi from the airport to the island and the B&B is only about a 10 minute walk from Piazzale Roma. The location was great because everything in Venice is within walking distance... and getting lost is half the fun! We would definitely stay here again!

“okay stay”

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast in a relatively quiet area of Venice. The room had a nice view of the garden and was roomy. This hotel was within walking distance of the train station which was helpful when we arrived. However, we probably would have liked to stay in an area closer to restaurants and nightlife. Only negative was during checkout the new person on the front desk was quite unfriendly.

“more than just bed and breakfast”

An immaculately decorated and maintained B&B with large, airy rooms including an excellent bed and huge bathroom, and all in a very quiet setting away from the tourist throngs further down in San Marco. It was easy to find and less than 15 minutes walk from the Railway Station.

It was hard to fault the Ca San Rocco which performs above and beyond what you might expect/fear of a B&B. Breakfast was of a good quality on a very peaceful terrace. In winter the Breakfast room too would also be a very pleasant location to start the day. We had just one night here but could happily have spent several days at this hotel had we known how good it was.

“A great B&B”

Once we finally happened upon this location, we were very pleased with the property. It was an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station.

The front desk attendant was extremely helpful. The room was quite large, as was the bathroom. The view from the window was of a luscious courtyard. The highlight was the breakfast room with its attached terrace dining. The terrace was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was meats, cheeses, rolls, croissants, fruit, & yogurt. The breakfast room attendant brought whatever style of coffee you desired. We were only here one night but it was a fabulous start to our Italian vacation.

“Venice sucks, but this hotel is good”

This hotel is very charming and romantic. The walk to the hotel is beautiful and the area this hotel is in is very safe (unlike other parts of venice). If you walk around the corner from this hotel you can catch free wi-fi on your laptop, too.
In general Venice is WAY over-rated- it's stinky, and the food is terrible. The only place I liked eating is this turkish halal place... The gelato is decent, but you need to only be here 1 night to see the entire thing. Save your money and spend more time in rome, milan, or go to berlin or amsterdam. The hotel prices in venice are three times what they're worth.

    • Disliked — that it's venice and venice is overrated!
