ServiceLocation: hard to find if you don't have good directions. Read other reviews for advice. Once you are there it is very peaceful and quiet. Getting to the other islands is both quick and a very pleasant way to start the day. At the end of the day you can escape the crowds and noise. There was a vaporetto (water-bus) strike one day we were there, but plenty of ferries run when there is a strike, so it was not an inconvenience.
Rooms: I went with two friends so I saw three rooms; one was big (no. 207, twin beds), one small (103, I think, single bed), and one middling (205, double bed). Maybe it's just the luck of the draw, but if you arrive early enough it may be worth asking if a larger room is available. The higher up you are, the quieter it will be. The rooms and bathrooms were all recently renovated, clean, and well-equipped (good shower, hair-drier, heated towel-rack, etc.)
Room facilities: the TV/internet thing didn't work well, but I don't go on holiday to watch TV or read email. Take a book about Venice to read instead.
Breakfast: buffet with plenty to choose from (cereal, yoghurt, breads, jams, croissants, fruit, milk, fruit-juice, ...), in a pleasant light, airy room.
Reception desk: all the staff speak English reasonably well or very well, and were helpful.
Value for money: I booked through Hotels.com and got a rate less than half the price being asked by some other websites. Get a 24- or 48- or 72-hour water-bus pass and you will save lots of money and time.

Service
Business serviceWe stayed at this hotel in January and it was being renovated at the tme - this did not deter from the lovel welcome and fab waiting staff at breakfast - which was plentiful (the coffee was hot and milky - gorgeous) The rooms were spotless.
It was fantastic to travel on the water bus every day to get to the main tourist spots of Venice nd just as nice to travel back at night to get away from the hustle and bustle and have some peace and tranquility on Guidecca.

ServiceThe Domina Giudecca is a quaint and cozy hotel just outside of Venice. It is easy to find if you follow the instructions from previous visitors! It takes about 25 minutes to get to the hotel from the train station on Vaporetto #82. Get off at the Palanca stop, go to the left as you exit and follow the the sidewalk along the water. Go over the bridge and as stated before look for the barber shop and it is the next alleyway on your right. Follow the alleyway all the way down to the next bridge and you will see the hotel on the right.
Once you get there you will see that it was worth the trip. The hotel is beautiful on the inside and the staff at the desk are nice. The rooms are updated and very cozy. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom has hot water and good water pressure. The breakfast in the morning has more than enough items to get you off to a good start for the day!
Although we read that getting around Venice was tough we found it to be the easiest of all the cities we visited. Be sure to buy a water taxi pass for the number of days you'll be in Venice! This is by far the best way to go if you plan on visiting Murano, Burano(beautiful!), or San Michelle. While in Venice, the signs will always lead you to the Rialto Bridge or St Mark's Square so it's hard to get lost. If you do get lost, hey, it's an island so you're bound to hit water(and a water taxi) at some point so don't sweat it! And at the end of the day the best part was heading back to Giudecca for some great pizza at La Foca and a great night's sleep at Domina Giudecca!

ServiceThis hotel was beautiful. it was perfect to get away from the crowds of venice and it felt like a secret place for us to retreat to when we had too much!! the rooms were clean and smart, newly decorated. the breakfast was never ending and the staff at the front desk pleasant. we were in room 10 which was next to the bar and one morning was a little noisy. the boat to the main island was very quick and efficient, but a little expensive (like everything in Venice!). we loved it there and will definitely go back.
