My partner and I spent 3 nights there in May and enjoyed it greatly. Stefano and the staff were very helpful, the Hotel web site directions made it very easy to locate. For those who want some peace and quiet after a day in busy Venice, this is the place.

Lido island is a ferry ride away from the main island, but it's worth the trouble if you want to have a good night's sleep. Make sure you get the number 52 ferry from the train station to minimize travel time, otherwise get the no. 1 ferry if you wish to see the Grand Canal along the way. We particularly enjoyed the gardens and hearty breakfast, and the rooftop terrace which affords a good view over the canals. A glass of wine in the garden after a day of exploring Venice was very enjoyable. Numerous shops and restaurants are a short stroll away, as is the beach.

Check the room you have booked before you go, and that it has space around the bed. Some rooms are a bit small, but most are quite reasonable and are well appointed.

I recommend it, and will stay there again.

We booked 2 nights to Villa delle Palme from their website.

The hotel is situated near the waterfront, so in 2 minutes you can take the boats to go around Venice.

My first impression at the arrival was really positive.

The man at the reception was very polite and took us to our room.
I suppose this hotel was an house in the past. It has a really quite and elegant atmosphere. The interior decorations are perfect, the dining room is small but very polished.

On the roof there is a balcony were you can go and have a beautiful view of Lido and, at the horizon, Venice.

Our room (a superior-type) was at the highest floor. Very clean in every corner, not so large but with a big sofa other than bed and a wide beautiful bathroom.
The other occupants of the hotel were nice and quite people and during the night there was no noise at all from other rooms.

The breakfast buffet was well assorted, regarding both drinks (hot/cold milk, coffee, chocolate, fruit juices, etc.) and food (biscuits, croissants, cakes, eggs, bread, yogurt, etc.)

We'd already stayed to Lido in another hotel and we're sure Villa delle Palme is the best choice. We'll surely stay there again.

This was our first time to venice and we were concerned about staying on Lido opposed to central Venice. The moment we arrived on Lido and at the Hotel we knew that we had made the right choice. The island and hotel are lovely. The hotel is maybe a 5 min walk to the vaporetto station and then 10-15 min to St. Marc's square. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the included european breakfast. Like ALL european hotels, rooms are on the small side but had all the comforts. We would stay again.

Stayed for 4 nights at the Villa Delle Palme in 12/06. The room was fantastic (loved the Venetian textile 'wallpaper') and the service was excellent. Breakfast was nothing to write home about (cold buffet) but adequate nevertheless. The hotel is only a 5 min walk to the Valparetto, which takes around 15 mins to St Marks Square. The weather in December made the journey quite arduous at times but I would imagine its a rather nicer experience during summer.

The hotel is a excellent value for money if you don`t mind staying a short boat ride away from the main island...
