Just returned from a two night stay at the wonderful Hotel Colombina.
It's in a great location. Well kept hotel and spotlessly clean everywhere.
Rooms were a good size, beautifully decorated with typical venetian furnishings/decor.
We had a beautiful room overlooking the canal and bridge of sighs. It's lovely to watch the gondolas passing your windows.
Pretty breakfast room with a nice breakfast..plenty of choice.
We booked private water taxi transfers, as the hotel has a landing platform. A magical way to arrive/depart venice.
The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Nothing too much trouble for any of them and no one would walk pass without saying hello.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for a long weekend at the Colombina which was discounted via Expedia. It was only about 2 mins from St Marks Square and 7 from Rialto, so location is perfect. The room was a standard double so no view over the canal but the room itself and the bathroom were both really big and well equipped, although no coffee or tea in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.The staff were really friendly and helpful.

This was a wonderful hotel! They were very centrally located, just off St. Mark's Square. We took the vaparetto from the airport and had a crazy time finding the land based entrance, but some locals helped us. Once you are familar with the area, it is easy to get around.

Avoid the attic room. I booked through Expedia and they stuck me there and I couldn't even stand up in the bathroom. The hotel quickly changed my room to a lower floor and it was much nicer. Interestingly, our new room was on a floor of its own between two other floors.

The breakfast was very nice, but then what do you really need? Great chocolate croissants.

The staff was very friendly and had great suggestions for restaurants.

The hotel also provides a daily free trip to Murrano (TOURIST TRAP WARNING) but then it does get you a free taxi ride right from the hotel to Murrano.

Also, I would recommend booking the gondola ride through the hotel. They pick you up from the hotel and it was much cheaper (you pay 30 euros a person, usually 3 couples at a time), and it was a very nice ride.

We would definitely return to this hotel!

Hotel Colombina is a stylish and quiet hotel near San Marco where you are surrounded by luxury and friendliness. The rooms are perfectly clean and well serviced. Breakfast is copious and delicious. We recommend this hotel for a wonderful holiday in Venice !
