I stayed here on 2 separate occasions on business and ended up in the same room each time. It was perfectly adequate but quite dated. The furniture is pretty cheap (plastic garden chairs at the table inside) but the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also fine, clean, a bit dated but perfectly adequate. The breakfast buffet again was fine, nothing special. Despite the "averageness" of it all I would probably return as it was quite charming and felt like it was in keeping with the Alpine setting.

You really couldnt get any hotel accommodation in Courmayeur closer to the cable car than the Domina Les Jumeaux. The hotel is in 2 parts, the main hotel building which has the piano bar as they describe on their website, then the second part of the hotel, another building about 50 metres around the corner. This is the building that is closer to the cable car, and not as nice as the main building though!

I asked why we were being put in a building different to that of the hotel and they said it was because it was Christmas and the main hotel was fully booked, i found that hard to believe when we arrived on the Thursday before Christmas as the town was more like a ghost town!

The rooms were fine though, they were very large and spacious and clean. There was plenty of space to hang up clothes etc. They have a fridge in the room which is good because the place seems to get very hot at night and cold drinks are a definite must. Satellite TV has 2 english speaking channels, CNN and eurosports. There is a shower-over-bath in the room, however the water pressure was quite poor and came out brown for the first minute or so, obviously hadnt been used in awhile or something wrong with the pipework!

The down side is that you couldnt be closer to the highway than in this building. The sound from the passing cars and trucks is really quite loud. It disturbed my sleep on the first couple of nights. What was worse in the end was the sound of the people in the room next to us! We could hear everything, from them taking a bath, to talking, to the doorbell that was that loud it sounded like it was for our room!

Breakfast is your usual Italian set up with bread, cheeses, pastries etc. They had cereal on offer as well.

Overall, the hotel is ok, its moreso the loud noise from the highway and the adjoining rooms in what lets it down. If you arent going to be spending much time in the rooms or you think you will be the ones making all the noise then there is no problem with this hotel.
