Can I say that the hotel itself is very high standard, food and room were fine. However, this hotel is next to a main road and convenient for pilots from Bergamo Airport but not so much tourists. Road noise is very bad, and drunk people keep you up. We thought this was locals but they transferred into the hotel to make more noise - perhaps the pilots again. You have to walk a long way to Bergamo central station for buses and trains to Milan or the Airport. The hotel really is in the middle of nowhere, south of the centre, and you have to pass through the dubious area of drunks and street people to reach Bergamo centre (or the station). The extras at the hotel will cost you - gym is not on site and expensive, room drinks are £4.50 Euros upwards. Then you will need taxis to your destination because walking is too far and not always safe. Bergamo is an affluent small city, choked with traffic and fumes I must say, but nowhere near the size of Milan and its shops. Also, the trains to Milan are quite infrequent - 1.5 hour waits not unusual. The trains were not exactly new, and little indication of your stop (even the station signs are not illuminated).
To sum up this is not a hotel for people wishing to visit MILAN.
