“Good Location”

Residenza Antica Roms is a 3 star hotel located in the heart of Rome--within walking distance ti the Spanish Steps and the Fountain of Trevi. It is a modest, clean hotel on Via Del Tritone Street--very busy and noisy but excellent location. Good continental breakfast included. If you want a reasonably price hotel in a good location choose this one. It's basically an average hotel with friendly service in a good location--nothing fancy though!

“Lovely Hotel in a Great Location”

Residenza Antica Roma

We spent three nights here in May 2008, and found the hotel to be wonderful.

The location is excellent. It is about 2 minutes from Piazza Barberini with easy access to taxis, buses, and the metro. While the entrance is on the very busy Via Del Tritone, the rooms all face the back of the building, making it quite peaceful at night.

The room was quite small, although we've had smaller in Rome in the past, and the decor was a little over the top, but we had no actual problems with the room and the bathroom was quite large.

The hotel staff was also extremely helpful answering any questions we had.

“Fantastic Location”

We discovered this gem via hotel reservations at Roma Termini Stazzione. Just minutes from the Supermarcato where you can get a Peroni & walk to the Trevi. Again just minutes from the Parthenon & the Barberi Metro station. The staff & the rooms are great. Price was within budget as well. Next year we'll be going to Sicily with a stop in Rome & staying at the same hotel. P.S. Was there for 9 days. Cappaccino in the morning at Trevi, Panini & a Peroni in the evening aaahhhhhh.

Overall it is really good. The breakfast buffet was terrible, maybe it's because I went with teens and it didn't satisfy them, but come on three plates of coldcuts and one cake doesn't cut it even if it is in Europe. The staff was accommodating. The rooms were small but nice. It is located in the perfect position. This is what really sets it apart. Right down the road is a Metro station. Up a block is Trevi Fountain, the other way is the Spanish Steps and most of Rome's sights are within walking distance.

“Great Location and Service!”

Residenza Antica Roma

My mother, sister, and I stayed at the Residenza Antica Roma for seven nights in March - we booked a relatively affordable package through Orbitz for hotel / airfare and wanted a hotel that would be clean and conveniently located. The Residenza Antica Roma was both of these things - so it met our needs wonderfully.

As stated by everyone, the hotel is centrally located - about a 5 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, a five minute walk from the Spanish Steps, and a five minute walk from the metro station which (once you transfer in Termini) means you can get just about anywhere. It is on a relatively noisy / busy street, but that didn't bother us.

The pictures are representative of the rooms - which can hold up to three people in relative comfort. There is breakfast served every morning up on the 5th floor - your typical European spread.

The thing that made this hotel really exceptional, though, in my eyes was the staff - they went out of their way to help us the entire time we were there! They provided maps, restaurant recommendations, general help, and were always friendly and accomodating. They arranged for our middle-of-the-night taxi ride back to the airport and just were extremely helpful and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Were I to return to Rome, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in the Residenza Antica Roma again, I'm going to Rome to see the sights, and the Residenza Antica Roma puts you in the perfect location to do so with ease!
