My wife and I have been to many hotels all over Italy and France, but we have never been so impressed before. This hotel is unique and remarkable. It is like staying in a modern art museum. Each detail so lovingly rendered, with such artistic integrity and love. The owners are a family, the hotel has been passed down, he is an architect, and we want him to come and decorate our house.

Frankly, words cannot do the hotel justice. Each room is unique, the main lobby and "living room" is so personal and welcoming. We only stayed two days, but wished we could have stayed weeks just soaking in the fantastical environment.

When we saw the pictures in the internet of the rooms, we figured these were the showcase rooms and ours would not compare, but they were magical. Carved into the side of a cliff, with monsterous picture windows looking out onto the Bay of Naples...

We cannot wait to return. The breakfast was as wonderful as the hotel. It is really a fantasy that cannot be recommended highly enough. Quite simply our favorite hotel in the world.

If you are going to Sorrento, don't consider anywhere else. If you aren't going to Sorrento, it is worth doing so to stay at this magical hotel.

Spent four nights here in March and just loved it. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Where do I begin! The location with stunning views, our junior suite which I could have stayed in all day and been perfectly happy, the cool art everywhere, friendly and helpful staff, free parking, fantastic breakfasts. As near to perfect as possible for my tastes. They even provide you with your own laptop for use during your stay!

after finding this hotel by coincedence and reading all the reviews I couldnt wait to stay It was perfect as everyone has told...the only disapointment was the chairs on the balcony were taken in for the fall and so we could only have breakfast inside....sit in the lobby and read all the wonderful books.....take a hyrda foil to capri...one night we were too tired to go to town so we ate at a beautiful hotel accross the street which was set up for guests only yet they were very accomendating

We spent 5 nights of our honeymoon here at the Minervetta. What a gorgeous hotel! I can't say enough about the beautifully decorated rooms, the amazing views and the delicious breakfast spread prepared for you every morning. There's nothing like eating breakfast out on the patio overlooking the coast and Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The walk into town is not bad. We would do it twice a day sometimes. Sorrento is a good central point for visiting Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii. All in all, we loved the Minervetta!
