We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of march and I can highly recommend it. Modern, clean, comfortable hotel about 20 minutes on the tube from the historic centre.

We were upgraded when we got there to a superior suite, huge comfortable bed, free minibar, modern styling, flat screen rotating TV.

If you want a reasonably priced (we paid around £55 per night), good 4* hotel you really can't go wrong.

I can also highly recommend the churros in the cafe about 4 door down opposite the metro. Also have dinner in the cellar at the Botin, we had an amazing night!

This is an excellent hotel - spotlessly clean, large well equiped room, good staff and conveniently placed for the metro. From the station you are about 20 minutes, and one change into the city centre. 1,2 and 3 day metro passes are very good value for money.

Our booking included breakfast - there is a good choice of fruit, bread and pastries, and a very slow toaster!

Would recommend to anyone.

Loved this hotel. We had a junior suite - it was spacious, bright, and always clean. The towels are large bath sheets, the mini-bar was included - it is only juice, soda, and beer - but that was nice. The buffet breakfast is NOT included and very expensive although very good - it cost over 50 euros for three of us for breakfast. Nice neighborhood, very close to the metro (one block.)

Located conveniently next to the Alfonso XIII metro station, the city center was only a few subway stops away. The room was clean, and the mini bar was free.

I was traveling on business, and I was surprised that there was no iron in the room, nor was one available to borrow at the front desk. Free wifi was available throughout the hotel, you simply had to ask for the proper code at the front desk. Wifi reception was somewhat spotty in my room, but very strong in the lobby if I needed to ensure that my connection was strong.

The location is convenient to public transportation, but there are no "sights" to see in close walking distance to the hotel. The staff speaks English sufficiently, and they were welcoming, but not overly excited when greeting or checking me in.

Breakfast was not included in my room rate. There was a small bar that served drinks and food up until 9 or 10pm. This was my first visit to Madrid, and I look forward to returning - the city is clean, has exquisite architecture, great art, and don't forget to tour the Real Madrid soccer/football stadium!
