ServiceWe stayed for 3 nights at the Vincci la Rabida in early December. The hotel is easy to find and very central for the main sites of Seville. It is situated on a quiet street which is well lit at night.
The public rooms of the hotel are lovely. It is a converted 18th century palace and the furniture and decor complement the conversion. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and most spoke good English or were patient with my very rusty Spanish.
We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast but the breakfast buffet (16 euros) was excellent. There was a good range of food to please anyone.
My only complaint about this hotel was the size of the room we had. The bedroom could truly be described as tiny & there was little space between the bed and the walls. The bathroom was almost as big! The bed was one of the hardest I've ever slept on. Still, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it didn't spoil our holiday.

ServiceThe Hotel is located in a narrow street, but within a few minutes walk of Seville's major attractions. The hotel has very impressive public areas and a fantastic view of theCathedral from the roof bar/restaurant (especially at night). The room was a little small but clean and tidy. The air con was useless and unfortunately there were no other rooms available. Friends didn't have the same problem , so maybe we were unlucky. The central location does make this hotel a good option.

ServiceThe directions to the hotel on the website were a little lacking and it is really difficult to find by car!
However, once we had spent 2 hours finding the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. Fantastic hotel, great location (quiet side street, but near great places to eat and drink), lovely room.
We went for an upgraded room and so had a living area as well as a bathroom and bedroom which was great.
One problem was the drains in the bathroom - we reported this to the hotel 3 times and nothing was done apart from a spray of air freshener being applied to the room. Real shame!
Seville is a great city for people who love wandering around and eating good tapas.

ServiceFirst off, I'll say that we were having trouble finding available rooms in Seville for the 3 nights we were going to be there, so the Vincci La Rabida was neither our nor our travel agent's first choice. We also had to pay an exhorbitant rate the first of the three nights, so we were already of a mindset that "it better be good". The hotel is located on what in the US we'd call an "alley", but in an historic European city, if you can fit a car down it, it's a "street" so I guess this one qualified as such. It was centrally located near the Cathedral, Alcazar and other sites and the public areas of the hotel were quite nice. There was a nice view of the cathedral from the hotel's rooftop cafe/bar. The central facility was apparently part of a former palazzo or such. Once we got to our room, however, we were disappointed, but the hotel was booked solid and we knew there weren't other options so we made due with it. The room was somewhat small and the decor was nice...spanish tiles on the floor, relatively nice furnishings and bed linens, nice tiles and marble accents in the bathroom. However, none of that made up for about a quarter of the tiles in the floor missing grout in them, one very broken tile with a sharp edge sticking up at the foot of one bed (easy to cut your bare foot on) and a sickening amount of mold on the bathroom ceiling above the tub/shower. We chose not to have them try to clean it while we were there because one of is very allergic to mold and we knew that cleaning it would send it airborne to land all over the room, including all the bed linens, towels and our belongings. We're not sure if this is representative of all the rooms there. The staff seemed surprised when we told them, but if none of the housekeeping or maintenance staff had pointed it out, that says a lot about how much they care about keeping the place up. We wouldn't recommend this property...there are other nice places to stay that offer everything this one does.
