This hotel was built in the early 1980ies and displays the charme of the era. Rooms are quite spacious, but on the dark side (wood paneling) and kind of barren-looking. The bathrooms are over 20 years old and need renovation.

A pro is the swimming-pool which is nice. Sauna and steamroom are also good. The fitness room is small but equipped with high-quality machines from LifeFitness.

We booked a hotel for just one night in Wurzburg. We found this hotel to be extremely accomodating. The staff went above and beyond. Parking was on site, walk to restaraunts and sights, and extremely comfortable. I would stay here again for sure.

We stayed in Wurzburg in April during a trip down the Romantic Road. We travelled with 2 boys 11 and 13 and we all found the Maritim quite nice. The decor is a liitle tired but very clean and the rooms are quite spacious. The highlight of our stay was the charming young man who served us in the Bavarian restaurant. It was our sons birthday and he did everything possible to make it a special evening for him. A good location next to the river and a fabulous view for breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel in June, 2006 while traveling through Germany for the World Cup events. We choose Wurzburg due to the fact that it was close to where a few of the games we were attending were being played.

I had heard that the hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the main train station. This is indeed true, but with luggage it takes a bit longer! From in front of the station, you turn right on the main street, and walk to about the 3rd traffic light, and you take a left turn. The hotel is about half a block up on the right hand side.

The hotel seems fairly large, but the lobby and reception area were more intimate in size. The rooms were a nice size, as were the bathrooms. The rooms were also very, very clean, and the beds fairly comfortable. There was a well-stocked minibar, and a tv with some satellite channels. The room was not luxurious, but it was extremely comfortable (and I tend to be on the critical side!)

We did not eat at the hotel as the restaurant was closed at the hours we would arrive back at the hotel. We had a great meal at a Chinese restaurant within 2 minutes walk of the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not write down the name of the restaurant. However, from the front door of the reception area, walk straight down the street; as the street begins to curve to the right, cross the street. The restaurant is right there on the 2nd floor of the building - almost directly above a pizza place. The food was unbelievably good, and the restaurant was open late.

In short, I would gladly stay at this hotel again.
