After visiting Munich regulary over 18years we decided to give the Le Meridien a try after reading comments on this site. Booked 4 nights using Le M. website a got a good room rate 125.00 euro(inc of breakfast). On arrival we were greeted warmly at reception. Upgraded to a suite for 50euros. Suite on 2nd floor (249) room quite narrow and middle sitting room very dark (had to use lights in daylight) a little dissapointed but bathroom was excellent as was decoration and furnishings. Awoken a 5.45 with deliveries and refuse trucks under our room & window. So we moved! Staff were very helpful and professional, moved us to 7th floor (755) HUGE suite, two large rooms, bathroom, cloakroom, lots of seating and desk areas, plasma tvs I could go on and on! (oh and the Hermes toiletries are great) Light and airy what a difference. B/fast very good but gets very busy sat/sun with large queues, sit outside in the sunshine in the garden!
We did not find the location a problem, did not feel uncomfortable at all. Only problem(not the hotels fault) lots of children allowed by parents to constantly play on lifts and run up and down areas and camping out in reception areas smoking (happens in large hotels a lot) Would reccommend
