=== Summary ===
We stayed at the Hilton for 4 nights in June while in Munich. We had a room with 2 twin beds and the main reason I picked the Hilton was because the entire stay was free with my HHonors points. The hotel is clean, well run and in a nice location. The only drawbacks are all related to the Hilton charging an arm and a leg for just about everything. However, as long as you can afford it (or get it for free), it's a good place to stay.
=== Pros ===
(+) Clean, elegant room
(+) Great location: directly above a metro (S-Bahn) stop, only a 10 minute walk from the Marienplatz, across the street from an Aldi (small supermarket)
(+) Most of the staff is generally friendly, helpful and spoke english
=== Cons ===
(-) No free Internet. Both wifi in your room and using the computers in the business centers is quite expensive (on the order of 50 Euro cents per minute). Fortunately, there is a public library next door that has public computers that charge much less (on the order of 50 Euro cents per 30 minutes).
(-) Restaurant and room service are very pricey. Nothing surprising here, but a coffee for 5 Euros (~$8) is not my thing.
(-) Scary expensive mini bar. They are always expensive, but this one claimed to be "computerized" - that is, it would charge you the second you took something off the shelf. We worried about even touching it, especially given the prices: 7 Euro for one of those TINY (~one shot) bottles of vodka that are $1 at any liquor store.
(-) One staff member gave me a hard time and acted quite coldly when I was trying to get some information about the metro, but I think it was just a random/isolated incident.
