This is a wonderful hotel! The hotel is gorgeous & we were given a room with a view of the castle & a huge balcony. I was also impressed by the excellent customer service this hotel provides. They took care of everything including booking our tours to both castles & arranging a romantic dinner for us. The dinner at the hotel is wonderful & probably one of the best meals we have had in Germany & that is saying a lot since we have lived in country for 9 months. We had a wonderful breakfast which was comprised of cold meats, bread, cereal, juice, tea, coffee. We were also given eggs & bacon which was very nice since most European hotels don't offer those items. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a romantic get away.

We were unbelievably impressed by the warmth of the people at this hotel. When we checked in we were greeted by Monika who arranged for castle tickets, walked us through available rooms to choose from and arranged internet use behind the front desk for us. That evening we had dinner in the dining room and were served by Ralf. We never had such friendly service anywhere. He went far out of his way to tell us about the history of the property by bringing us books and after dinner mapped out sights to see along the Romantic Road. We had a big room, big bathroom and beautiful view of the castle. Beds were comfy, plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Be sure to bring shampoo and conditioner if you don't like using the body/hair gel provided.

At the foot of the road to Neuschwanstein castle.

I wanted to give my Bride a very special trip for our delayed 4oth anniversary. SO we planned a few days in Nuremberg to visit the Christkindl market - Market was outstanding hotel to be reviewed elsewhere.

We drove to Hohenschwangau arrived with snow covering everything [ we don't see much in North Florida]. Our greeting by Monica set the tone for our visit -- we were greeted as if we had been there many times and were dear friends.

The ladies Regina,Monika and Monika made it very clear - we were to be happy [or else]. What a delite to have staff who really care.

I had called and confirmed my reservation and as a result I booked a "package" -- a room [number 44] from which we could look up and
see the Castle Neuschwanstein [ the model Disney used for Cinderallas in D world] day and nite [well lit at night]
the package included a fruit basket, tickets to both castles, a horse carriage ride to the entrance to Neuschwanstein [ only the young and brave dare to walk it] and a five course dinner with a grand bottle of wine.

Room 44 - looks out over the little village and all of the tourist activity but was as quiet as a cloister. Warm ,cozy, comfortable with it's own little dining turret.

The idea of having a KEY with a large metal fob that we left in our "cubby" whenever we left the building was just wonderful and intriguing.

Our reserved table at breakfast was such a nice touch.

Regina "required" that she handles our castle and carriage tickets and personally required that she escort us to the carriage to ensure that the driver provide us a good seat.

Did I mention that the package came with a five course dinner?

Regina ensured that we schedule our dinner after the "day" tourists were gone, so at 7:30 we made our way to the dining room. Our table was in the glass dining room. all windows and ceiling are glass panels so that you can see the Castle from all 5 tables. After our seating, we were advised that our dinner would be served by Ralph [ Otto,Max] the restaurant manager. What a thrill and what a new friend we made.

The next four hours were a treat , a delight, a marvelous dining experience and just down right good. Ralph is now planning to visit us here in Florida in either 08 or 09 to go visit the Sea Cows - Manatees and to kayak on the Suwannee river with me. We received a New Years card from him today.

Had I not prepaid for our next three days in Rothenberg I would have lingered longer at Hotel Mueller for the ambiance and the friendship.

We were HouseGuests and at Hotel Mueller, that term takes on a
whole new meaning.

When you visit the Castles of the Mad Kind Ludwig II, you are doing yourself a great injustice if you do not plan at least one night at "Hotel Mueller"

“Magical!”

Our stay, unfortunately only one night, at the Hotel Mueller was MAGICAL from start to finish, including a late night dessert in our own private dining room. When we arrived in mid-afternoon, there was a little snow on the ground and frost on the trees. We clearly saw both castles as we approached the Hotel Mueller. We parked our car within 40 feet of the front entrance and the second we opened the door, I knew we were home! The front desk staff were simply the best I have ever encountered and I have stayed in well over a 1,000 places. They were expecting us, they had thought of everything and answered every question before I could ask it. The family suite - we had three young teenagers with us - was perfect. The beds especially comfortable, water and fruit awaited my hungry kids, the bathroom was three rooms and very clean, spacious and convenient. The view from all bedrooms and living room were of the castle, the windows could be opened for fresh Alp air.We had our own private dining experience, all glass, with the castly lit at night in the background. Herr Hoffman and Herr Valentine were our servers, and treated our kids like royalty and gave them the most enjoyable eating experience of our two week trip. The hotel was the best value, the most comfortable, the most homey of our entire trip. I would recommend it with my very highest recommendation. I chose this hotel because of previous tripadvisor reviews. I will never choose another hotel without consulting tripadvisor first.

My husband stayed at Hotel Mueller for 3nights and loved every minute. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel was so quiet at night and it was the perfect way to relax for the end of our vacation. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. We definately plan to go back sometime in the future.
