I stayed here one night during the World Cup. The hotel itself is older and I would say average but very clean. My room was very small and older with 1 twin bed. However, the window faced the hills and it was a great view. The location is outstanding--you walk out the door and are basically a few steps away from the town square. I would not hesitate to stay here again. If you are looking for a modern roomy hotel, this would not be good. If you don't mind an older hotel with older rooms and a tiny bathroom but great location, you will like this place. It felt more like a cabin than a hotel to me. The location trumps everything though.

I was travelling as a solo female in Heidelberg in February 2006. This hotel has a great location, at the marketplace square. It is a stone's throw away from the philosopher's bridge. I felt very safe during my stay in Heidelberg.

The hotel is quiet and very comfortable. My room was a small single room, but had all that I needed. The hotel staff speak English, and provided a cold buffet breakfast in the morning.

Although this wasn't tourist season, there were many people who stayed at the hotel. Guests included Germans on business and leisure trips, as well as guests such as myself from Canada and the United States.

I was happy with this hotel and would stay there again.
