We spent 5 fantastic days in Hotel Saint Georges and we loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We'd definetly consider returning! Merci beaucoup!

We stayed here for six nights at the end of April 2008. The hotel is in a good location, five minutes walk from the train station (great for day trips), about ten minutes walk from the old town / beach, and very near a range of cafes / shops / bars / restaurants. It is situated on a nice, quiet road right next to the main shopping strip. There's a tram running down to the seafront (1 Euro per trip) which is quite handy if you can't be bothered to walk. No complaints about location.

The hotel itself is fine but completely bog standard. Our room had no balcony and was small-ish, though probably standard for France. The room overlooked the hotel's garden courtyard and was extremely quiet. The reception staff are very helpful and speak good English. The hotel is clean but quite dated.

All in all, decent value. There are many better hotels in Nice but this is absolutely fine if you're on a limited budget.

I am surprised that this hotel rates in the top 50 for hotels in nice. We stayed for 2 days in late August and the room was not very nice and in need of an overhaul. Maybe the other rooms were better but avoid room 24 which is exactly next to the lift. Some of the things that we did not like were.
*not enough amenities such as supply of shampoos after the second day. This was not resupplied until requested from front desk
*No fridge in the room
*Drab decor which makes you want to leave the room as soon as you can
*noise from the lift (luck of the draw) maybe

Positives:
Decent customer service at the front desk
Attentive to requests and questions and more than willing to help

The hotel had a great location, only a ten minute walk from the station if even that. There are plenty of internet/call cafes for those needing them and a great little Italian restaurant just up the street, which I recommend!

The room was comfortable and the service was great. The men at the desk were very helpful and went out of the way to help us with trying to get our lost luggage back from British Airways who had lost it. So overall, I would really recommend you stay here, as you could not ask for a better location or staff!
