Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris

Once Again the Fours Season's is the best.!!!!

We stayed in Paris for 6 nights, 4 at the George V. The staff was very accommodating. Having heard that Paris can be difficult for those that don't speak French, I book ed the George V specifically for the concierge service. While we were visiting at a very busy time we never felt the service suffered. Upon arrival our room wasn't ready but we were offered the option of an upgraded room without a view that would be ready sooner or a wait for the better view. Traveling with a weary child we opted for the upgrade. While waiting for our room, we had breakfast in the terrace room. When I informed the waiter of family food allergies, the Host offered to write a note in French for me that I could give to the wait staff at any Paris restaurant. How thoughtful!!! We consulted the Concierge about directions and attractions and they were always helpful and on target. When we were going to walk to the D'Orsey the concierge advised a cab since it was closing soon. We were given the option of a car to Versailles, but the Concierge suggested the short walk to the RER train at Port Alma would be less expensive and very easy. It was. I highly recommend the Museum Pass. It is available at the gift shop. The pass allows you to use a separate entrance and avoid the crowds at most attractions. While I had read on this site that we would have to wait in line for ticket for our child anyway so the pass wasn't a time saver, I only found this to be the case Les Invalides. And there wasn't a line anyway. The staff at the Four Seasons handled our dinner reservations and we were treated very well at the restaurants. I really appreciated this after inquiring at a subsequent Paris hotel about a restaurant and the staff opened the back door and pointed. Later it turned out it was closed. Stay at the Four Season!!! Fini across the street has a 5 euro breakfast including croissant, coffee and juice. They also have take out food and drinks. This will curb your mini bar expense. A Budweiser is 12 euros in the mini bar.

Beautiful hotel in one of the best locations. Central to everything. You definitely feel luxurious walking into the lobby. The flower arrangements are unbelieveable and the service superior. The spa was lovely. Truly an oasis to escape from the world after a long day of shopping or touring. Expensive but worth every penny.

Stayed 4 nights with my family (kids 11, 13).

Looking at some of the other reviews I'm wondering if some reviewers are visiting when celebrating big personal milestones and they are maybe gettng a wee bit carried away on their own personal wave of euphoria.

My only small gripe was the lack of public areas; there were only two places that you could possible 'take 5'. One was the bar which was quite compact, dark and incredibly smoky (even at breakfast!!). The only other place was a kind of very wide corridor to the lifts which had a number of seats and couches - however the hotel was more keen to be serving meals at these seats; whenever I passed the area was always full with people having meals and, again, was unpleasantly smoky.. Would just have been nice to have had a bit more public space were guests can relax and, if the hotel can't find the space, at least make what is available non smoking.

Make no mistake though, this is a superb hotel in a terrific location with staff who are on a mission to make the hotel experience they give you the best. The rooms are excellent, spacious, comfortable and maid service does a clean twice a day - you get the feeling they are actually looking for things to fold, put away, tidy up etc rather than just rush in and out.

We used room service for breakfast and one evening meal (one of the kids was unwell) and found them uber efficient and freindly.

The spa and pool were good for a City hotel and, yes, the floral displays were striking and radical.

Best bit really was the location - you're slap bang in the golden triangle with a couple of dozen terrific restaurants right on your doorstep. 5 minutes walk down George V Avenue to the river and you've got a cafe on the corner with fantastic views of the Eiffel Tower; great for a nightcap and to see the tower glittering in the night. Forget eating on the Champs Elysee; full of clip joints and scammers.

Of course the hotel is crazily expensive but so are many other less accomplished places - at the George V they do deliver.

“One of the finest Hotels in the World”

Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris

This was the one and only Hotel I wanted to stay in when planning a trip to Paris, and it exceeded all my expectations. The Four Seasons Paris is in a word '' beautiful ".
The Four Seasons is well located, and every detail impresses. The world famous floral displays will astound even the most jaded, there is a gorgeous modern/ formal center garden, magnificent dining room, lovely bedrooms/ bathrooms, and generous closets! All of the staff we encountered were excellent and every space immaculately maintained. The dining room is a surreal Dinner setting and as you arrive to your table a staff member magically blankets the table top with fresh rose petals, tucks in cymbidium orchid blossoms, and candles. During my stay, there was a large VIP event in Paris and despite the high number of recognizable actors and sports celebrities swirling about, every Guest received the same VIP treatment. This is an extremely comfortable property despite the formality of the decor' and excellent in every way.

This is it
this is what Paris is
George V is the ultimate Parisian Hotel
We were met at the door of the airplane by a gent holding a card with our name, whisked passed the queue thru the "diplomats/staff aisle" then our luggage was located and taken to our van / transfer.
Our driver took us to George V and gave us a mini tour on the way. Upon arrival we were met by the doorman as if coming to our own home, very warm and welcoming. Reception check in was efficient and very courteous. We were personally taken up to our 2 rooms and the young German lady explained everything to us - made us feel like well as if everyone really appreciated us staying at George V. The rooms were gorgeous. On the 6th floor side view onto George V Avenue. The housekeeping kept the rooms immaculate, replenishing the toileteries Bulgari !!! and just continuing the absolute blissfull state from beginning until end.
We had breakfast each morning (included in our stay) and felt nothing but pampered by EVERYONE on staff. The food was faultless, delicious, well presented and served by staff who served as if they were actually enjoying their job.

The flower arrangements were the most beautiful and creative display of art comparable to none other.....the mood in the hotel was one of quiet luxury and peaceful well co ordinated staff who just wanted to do their best and were always on their best most personable behaviour for ALL guests staying.

If you ever have the opportunity of going to Paris - my only tip would be to stay at George V and get a taste of heaven.
