“The definition of Irish Hospitality”

Camp Junction House B&B

5 of 5 stars
Detroit, MI
Jan 6, 2008

My husband and I stayed at Camp Junction House for one night on our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, John was the perfect host! He had a fire burning in the fire place and showed us around the place. Camp Junction is amazing, inside and out. Our room was very nice and very clean. The views are outstanding!

John recommended for us to check out the views at Brandon Point and then to stop at Murphy's Pub on the way back. He gave us great directions and some good advice on what to see around the peninsula. I have to agree with the previous reviews about John's generosity. The value he provides for the cost is already pretty fabulous, but then he goes further out of his way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. He also serves up one heck of an Irish breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!

“Irish Hospitalityat its best - thought I was at Home!”

Camp Junction House B&B

Nov 12, 2007

I drove up to the motel, no booking, hoping for a room, and found friendly, fair and fun company, plus great accommodation, in a double room looking out my window onto a broad expanse of the wild Atlantic coast. It was spectacular to be 'at home' with your man, John Doyle, whose greatest risk is that his kindness and generosity to his guests will actually deprive him of the net income to make a profit and stay in business.

This place offers super food, super accommodation and the best location for a great overnight camp (at Camp- ain't I funny); with ceilidh bars over the road in walking distance (singalong and music pubs to put that into Australian). I played music till late in the evening, on a pub-music crawl with mine host and other guests.

More than a place to stay - this is the EXPERIENCE OF IRELAND that any traveller would hope to find - and may never get.

Give John a call - I only met him the once but have to say I feel like I'm asking you to ring an old mate of mine. You won't be disappointed - I doubt that is possible - based on my great welcome there - ending with a massive breakfast and farewell.

“Lovely stay at Camp Junction House”

Camp Junction House B&B

5 of 5 stars
Plymouth, Michigan
Nov 8, 2007

Camp Junction House was one of the highlights of our stay in Ireland. John Doyle is a most gracious host...he welcomed us with a cup of tea in front of a blazing fireplace. John's extensive knowledge of the area guided us with our touring and golfing plans. Our spotless, ensuite room had a spectacular view of lovely Tralee Bay and our delicious full-Irish breakfast was served with full-Irish hospitality The B&B is within walking distance of The Railway Tavern where you can have a few pints with the residents of Camp and enjoy Sunday sessions featuring John's father on the accordian.

“Beautiful stay in the Penninsula”

Camp Junction House B&B

Dingle is so beautiful, and staying in John Doyle's place added to the full experience that was overall wonderful. John was very accommodating and hospitable. He was helpful in making us feel at home, making sure we had everything we need, and guiding us as to how to enjoy the peninsula the most. His property is a divine location, and the view out over the bay is worth sitting and enjoying. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. It helps that it's a brand new house, and done with most care and precision, so it's a very cozy, clean, and modern place. The rooms were nicely sized, and wow...can't say enough great things.

“Best of our stay in Ireland!”

Camp Junction House B&B

5 of 5 stars
Durham, North Carolina
Sep 23, 2007

We just got back from our week long stay in Ireland, and John's place
here in Camp was by far our favorite place to stay of the week. He is
so welcoming and hospitable, but his place is amazing. You couldn't ask for a better view anywhere. The rooms we stayed in were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very nice and had everything we needed, and very spacious. Breakfast was excellent (although we didn't eat very much, since we had such a good time the night before at the very friendly Junction Bar across the street, haha).

Breakfast is served in a very big room with leather furniture and a big tv for lounging, but in the morning the view is just amazing!John was so helpful with directions and anything else we needed. The true Irish experience here. I can't say enough about John or his beautiful place. Thanks!
