I staryed at this Hotel
for two nights in March 2008. the service was very poor and staff was not friendlyat all. I remember i went to have my lunch at the bar which is dark enough so u almost feel being inside of a cave but it was right after i arrived when i Noticed this Man who was working in there as a waiter, Irish (mid 40s)Shaved head...he was having a bad day or something coz his service and attitude to the customers was really bad,,,i could hear some other peopl complaining...I had to wait so long to get y food and finally when i went to pay he did not even said Thanx.....So never again

I stayed in this hotel for one night on a business trip. This is the fourth time I have stayed here and on each occasion my stay has been very enjoyable. The hotel represents great value, has clean quiet rooms and offers a great breakfast. The restaurant is very good but may be quiet depending on when you are staying. However, the food in the bar is very good. The staff are very friendly and endeavour to ensure that you are made welcome. One of the best value hotels in Ireland.

What a wonderful way to begin our Ireland vacation! Meadowlands is a beautifully appointed yet comfortable hotel close enough to walk to the City Centre and far enough to be away from the crowds and traffic. After a long journey, we were delighted to find spacious rooms, queen sized beds, a cozy bar and restaurant with excellent food and service! And the grounds and gardens are beautiful. Everything we hoped for and more than we expected. This is a gem! If you're visiting Tralee or planning to drive the Dingle Pennisula, include Meadowlands.

I stayed here on business for 2 days over the June Bank Holiday weekend and was very happy with the experience. I would agree with Sonas that, 'The room was clean and basic with... cheap furnishings and a wooden (in my case plastic with wood print!) toilet seat. The bathroom boasted a jacuzzi but the ceramic was chipped' (and in my case, also had appalling grouting which ruined the effect of the marble surround). While I probably would have been less satisfied if I had been paying for it myself, I nonetheless felt that the excellent service outweighed any negatives. There were 3 or 4 lovely female receptionists on during my stay who couldn't have been more pleasant or do enough for me. The hotel has some lovely facilities, such as a beautiful private garden, a relaxing, quiet library, wireless internet access and extremely comfortable beds and pillows in very large rooms with bathrooms containing both shower and jacuzzi bath. Room service was excellent and any requests were catered for without question. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't open on Sundays, so I couldn't sample the menu. Seeing as they were very busy, I thought this was a little silly. However, I would definitely stay there again, as the quality of service more than made up for any flaws. It is also in an excellent location. Recommended!
