“old style arbutus”

Having stayed at the abutus for the 4th or 5th time over the last few years you would expect my review to be glowing. The hotel has a quaint feel to it with comfortable rooms. The staff are always on hand to help with information local and national. The bar staff are especially friendly with a special mention to Tim who has been there sincei have been going.

Breakfast is good value and always has the cooked for you taste. I am aware staying in Killarney is never cheap especially if our american friends are in town bumping up the prices a little but this is more to do with the town than the hotel.

The car park at the rear of the hotel is free overnight but remember to feed the meter at 9 in the morning. The car park is a god send for those of us with golf clubs to carry.

The hotel is in the high street so local to all ameneties. I would recommend this hotel to all travellers

All the staff contact was excellent. Every question was answered promptly and pleasantly. The breakfast was excellent and the servers were very personable and obviously loved being there.

A decades owned family establishment located in Center City Killarney within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed/decorated, immaculate and surprisingly spacious. The front desk staff as well as the dinning room personnel were extremely helpful, courteous, gracious and accomodating.

It has a three star rating, but, having traveled all over Europe, my husband and I would rate it a four star. We will not hesitate to stay there again and have already highly recommended it to friends and family who are planning Ireland excursions.

We only stayed for two nights but next time it will be longer, The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful especially betty,she was a lovely lady, we met her in the restaurant and she was so friendly and the food was deliciousThe room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. A very enjoyable stay and hopefully return very soon.
