After viewing several other hotels in Killarney, we decided to book the Muckross Park for our New Year 's Eve wedding. After confirming our booking we were alarmed to read the reviews on Tripadvisor. However we have just celebrated the most amazing wedding at this hotel. The facilities, quality of food and the level of service are exceptional. The wedding co-ordinator Annie's attention to detail is excellent and she is supported by a very strong and committed team. This hotel certainly warrants it's new 5 star status and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who is looking for the perfect wedding venue.

My good friend got married here in December. Amazing hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they couldn't have done more.
The rooms are large and comfortable.
The Spa is fabulous.
The food was so good. The wedding was great.
Surrounding area is lovely.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel, it was a pleasure to stay there and hopefully I'll be returning again sometime.

Myself and my husband stayed at the Muckross Park Hotel for a weekend break before Christmas 2007, everything was excellent all round. The spa was to die for as was the food and service in both restaurants, large comfortable bedrooms. We would highly recommend and will definately be back again.

Just spent the weekend in the Muckross Park Hotel. Poor experience and will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

No valet parking/no one to help us unpack our car.

The room was grubby - handles missing off furniture, dirty table and dresser and our complainst were met with apathy!

Also 21" Old Fashioned Telly, no Movie Channel or Movies to purchase!

Bed was average - but certainly didn't offer the comfort offered by most 5 stars and the pillows were like rocks.

There was no minibar and only one small bottle of still and 1 sparkling per room per day. No chocolates with the turn-down service.

Water pressure in the bathroom was terrible and I had trouble fitting under the shower head in the shower (I am pregnant).

There was no swimming pool and due to my pregnancy- I wasn't allowed to use their over-hyped vitality suite (the use of which is charged at €40 per room per stay). On top of this these was no available appointments for the spa for either of the 2 days we were there.

Room service after 9:30pm consisted of a mere 3 choices.

The food we had was good though - as were the staff in the restaurant.

Checking out didn't come a minute too soon. None enquired if we we enjoyed our stay. We packed the cars ourselves without any offer of help.

We couldn't do anything but laugh as we drove away......and wonder how these guys got their 5 stars.
